So is it safe to say its time to lower expectations on this season?

This team isnt winning 50 games as is. Theres just no way. 45 seems a bit much and thats if we stay healthy. I wanted to wait till tonight to post this if we lost to the bucks. The loss to the bobcats was a disgrace just for the fact that we would have won by 8 if we made free throws...but we didnt. Playoff teams win that game easily. I really belive this upcoming 2 weeks decide our season. Tonights game isnt a big game..its HUGE. We aren't beating the cavs and if we lose tonight..thats a 3 game losing streak. It would also put us in the 9th spot. Watching dallas beat the sixers is making me more sick considering they killed us. We are 24-16... should be 26-14 if we could make free throws. But it is what is. The problem with our record is, its the same as last years at this point which is disturbing. Translation.... no progress. Yet our gm says let the cake bake. I realize what our schedule was but lets face it... we still don't look all that great regardless. Now with blake out, its even worse. If we lose 3-4 in a row... will our GM make a deal or call it a season is what im wondering because if we lose tonight... this teams season is on the brink. I don't care how many games we left. One thing i have to agree with in that yahoo article about KP... he is becoming too arrogant. You would think he would make sure this team made the playoffs just to give him a little juice cause as of now all these great picks arent showing they can carry us to wins or the post season. :sigh:

There's now way around it. The Bobcats loss could be the game we look back on and say "thats when the season turned."

Im sorry but i cant get this bobcats loss out of my head...

I think right now we have to start making plans on who we're going to draft with a top three pick. If we manage to muster three more wins this year I think the organization will consider this season a success. I think it's more likely that we lose the remaining games and Nate gets canned. We'll hire Avery Johnson and he'll turn this team around. First thing we need to do this off season is dump that waste of space Oden. I'd say a future third round pick would be a good value in return.

I had us at 47 wins at the start of the year and thats still about where i think we are. But, we don't need to worry so much about being in 6ht or 9th place yet. There are still a ton of games to play and I just don't see the Blazers missing the playoffs.

Had them at 44 wins so they are doing just fine.

Did you know the 3peat Lakers constantly lost to the worst teams in the league. Last time I checked the Bobs were an NBA team

I said 48 wins but I think I am going to be wrong. I think this team will be 8-10 games over .500 so between 49-51 wins. How many games did you think they were going to win at the start of the season?

i think i said anywhere from 45-50 at best. with a trade...we prob could get 50 if it was a big time player. Thats if we stay healthy.

problem is this team isnt only soft but fragile.

I see solid progress in our development of players this year, much more than last year, and it seems like Nate is finally seeing the benefits that can come from running once in awhile and letting players make a boneheaded mistake without losing their spot in rotation.

The big picture, and how well we are playing come playoff time, look brighter than ever.

    BAKE IT!

i also feel that webster or batum could be dealt. Webster really screwed kp's plans BIG TIME. I dont think we can wait for webster to come back. We dont have that kind of time. Every game is huge for us if we wanna make the playoffs.

Batum is nothing more then a bench player who can defend. He will never be a guy who scores consistantly. Hi shot would need a major transformation.

You do realize, don't you MARIS, that your overuse of this phrase is beginning to make you sound like you're, well, baked?

maris is the same guy who thinks sergio is a nba pg.

    nuff said.

i would bet anything he thought john nash had us in the right direction and bassy was our future pg. these are the kind of fans that gms love. it saves their job until the team hits rock bottom.

I think after the next game, someone should make a thread entitled "So, is it safe to say it's time to RAISE expectations on this season?" and spell the "teh" as many times as humanly possible.

So what will you do if we win 50 games and make the playoffs?
