NBA Power RankingsDetroit Pistons46-9With the All-Star appearance of four out of the five starters, the Pistons are geared down to finish off strong on the second part of the season. Prince will be playing his heart out while other Pistons will be getting more time to rest for the playoffs. I expect a good week by the Pistons playing the lower ranked teams. Tough match-up verses Cavs, maybe even a playoff match-up.Upcoming Games:-------------------Dallas Mavericks44-11Mavericks have been a surprise on how well they've been doing. Huge overtime win against Raptors has to bring confidence back up to full and maybe a wake up call that no team is ever beatable. The Mavs are also holding a 14-0 at home in 2006. Come playoff time, this could be real useful. Bench is playing great of late and has to keep that up. Tough game against Spurs this week.Upcoming Games:-------------------San Antonio Spurs43-12Following closely behind the Mavericks are the lurking Spurs. Great play from Duncan and Parker of late has brought this team to the tops of about everyone's Power Rankings. Spurs look more like a playoff team and I assume they will turn on the engines full blast soon. Spurs are coming off a win in Golden State where Nazr Mohammed led six Spurs in double figures with 15 points, 14 rebounds and two blocks. They will be looking for him to keep up rebounding numbers as the face the hot shooting Mavs this week.Upcoming Games:-------------------Phoenix Suns37-17The high scoring Suns are rolling beating almost every NBA team out there. Marion just grabbed a career high 24 rebounds against the Bobcats and is looking like a quiet MIP. Though they loose Kurt Thomas for some time, they will be getting Amare back in a month or more. They must get mentally prepared because Dallas will be coming in a week.Upcoming Games:-------------------Miami Heat35-20Though the chemistry is not there yet, Shaq and Wade are. Shaquille O'Neal was nearly perfect Saturday, matching a season high with 31 points on 15-of-16 shooting in Miami's 115-106 win over visiting Seattle. The veteran Gary Payton has been playing great of late as well, really proving that he wants a ring before he retires. An easy upcoming week for the Heat as they face lower teams.Upcoming Games:-------------------Cleveland Cavaliers32-24Lebron James booed? You know Lebron did not like the sound of that and that's why I believe the Cavs deserve this spot. Lebron will be busting out season high numbers in the weeks to come. It's going to be tough though with the Pistons twice in a matter of days. It will be a great match-up.Upcoming Games:-------------------New Jersey Nets31-23Vince Carter who? Nenad Krstic showed his home country what Serbian basketball is all about shooting 11-11 from the field in his first televised game in Serbia. Vince Carter has promised us a better second half of the season and his 45 point performance is proving it. Even when Carter has an off night, somebody in the starting five has a clutch game. A medium week ahead but could push the Nets into a playoff spot lock.Upcoming Games: -------------------Los Angeles Clippers31-23After a small loosing streak from the surprising LA team, they were back in the win column against the other city team. Elton Brand scored nine of his 32 points in the fourth to start up what could be another winning streak. The return of Corey Maggette will really benefit this team in the playoffs but of right now, they are playing great as a team.Upcoming Games:-------------------Oklahoma City Hornets30-25Nobody can deny the leader of this team and soon to be ROY is Chris Paul. With the additions of Marc Jackson, Johnson and Aaron Williams, the Hornets are really making themselves a playoff threat yet still the underdogs. Saturday, Paul scored 23 points, handed out eight assists, and made two thefts. Big week ahead with Clippers and Jazz coming to town.Upcoming Games:-------------------Washington Wizards29-25Wizards have been playing great basketball of late and are on a three game winning streak. Gilbert Arenas scored 46 points in 30 minutes to get the win against the Knicks. Caron Butler has been playing great since becoming a starter and Jamison is being himself averaging almost 20 and 10. Average week though, fighting against teams barely holding a playoff spot so should be some good basketball.Upcoming Games:

why aren't the knicks in those rankings? haha. 10 years ago they'd be up there to bad those days are over.

The Knicks don't suck imo they just have to many guards and also the Media put way to much Presure on Larry Brown. IMO Larry Brown shouldn't return as the Knicks Coach next year unless they trade Marbury.

QUOTE (nba dogmatist @ Feb 27 2006, 10:42 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

15-40 = sucks
does eddy curry, channing frye, stephon marbury, jalen rose and steve francis suck? no chemistry and the entire team is so scared of larry. if herb was the coach this year we'd at least be in the playoff race in the already pathetic atlantic division. last years team was much worse. these guys just have been thrown together and have not developed chemistry. i hate it when people who don't watch the knicks think they know what they're talking about. everyone is having their worst seasons of their careers simply because larry brown has shattered their confidence.

QUOTE (Thespiralgoeson @ Feb 28 2006, 07:00 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Stan Van Gundy's looking for a job, right? I think he would actually be a pretty good fit for them.
anyone but larry. stan did a good job with the heat. i'd like him as a coach.
okay, first off, LB would never get fired (althoguh i do think he deserves it). Zeke would definitely get the axe be fore him.And nyk, it doesn't matter how much talent you have if you still can't win. The team has no togetherness whatsoever. Chemistry is a big part of it, and those guys can't get along. No one's scared of LB. That's a load of crap.

That's a load of crap.
yes they are. why do you think they lead the league in TO's? they're afraid on offense because larry makes them "play the right way" so they make too many passes. how can they have chemistry when larry is the one whos had over 30 different starting lineups? any other coach would have had a set rotation by now. i'm sick of brown cuz he fucked up this whole season. i thought he was the icing on the cake but apparently he just fucked everything up.
I don't quite know if Cleveland is better than NJ, but it has to be close. You can't say that two straight losses were a slump though, they lost to the Pistons.
Why do you think Larry Brown should be fired NBA Dogmat? Incase you forgot this is Larry Brown's first year as the Coach of New York. You see what I'm talking about guys? It's this kind of pressure that I believe should not have come about because Larry Brown is just a coach. Yes Larry Brown did give Detroit but did you expect that to happen with NY as soon as he got there? News flash it's not going to happen. Not with the team they had then and certainly not with what they have now.
