who's better? i'm goin with shaq of coarse. yao is a goon. other people have actually disagreed with me so let's see.........
As I see it Shaq's rebounding is on the decline, th only thing positive is his offense. His defense is abysmal, Yao is better.So this season it's a toss.
Over their careers theres no question. Right now, while Yao is putting up better numbers, Shaq is helping his team to be runaway winners of that 2nd spot in the East. Shaq nudges
when yao plays shaq, yao gets owned. shaq is too physical for him and yao is a 7'6" jump shooting goon. i hope that they have games against eachother on national tv so i can watch shaq toss him around like a rag doll.
Is this serious? Hmmm...should a guy with a soft guy with even at his height is not a dominant rebounder or shotblocker, NOOOOO. Yao is a finesse player, he uses his footwork and hands to tip the ball over his openents and he has an okay jumper. Shaq on the other hand is the most domiant center in the game. And probably the most intimidating defender in the game. Hardly anyone can get by this guy at Center. Shaq also has good hanfs and is a damn good passer. He may not be a good shooter but that does not matter as he uses his strength and dominance to power over the defenders on the offensive end. He may be slowing down a tad bit but he is still the best center in the game and I will be damned if some finesse player like Yao is ever called a better center then the diesel.

^Yep.Yao is actually have a fantastic season, and past 12 games has been an animal. Shaq has had an amazing career and will always be overall better than Yao, but right now, and for future, it is yao.
