Who do you think should be on the team this year? My main hope is for a Shaq/Kobe reunion. T-Mac would also be a great addition.
Shaq is to old and wont do it. I think Kg duncan and kidd turned it downAll i know so far its kobe amare i think Gilbert redd They have asked hinrich idk what he said
Shaq to Old? No he isn't Shaq is still the most dominate Center in the league and imo he will be for the next few seasons as for KG, Kidd, and the rest of the guys you mentioned do you have a link of some kind of proof where you got this from or something?
its old news. Hard to find now. You have to be with them for 4 years in the summer........ In 4years i dont think Shaq kg duncan and kidd can do it. They need them summers off. I think USA is gonna go young
Regardless of age, Shaq would dominate. I think we need a team of Shaq and ALOT of shooters, with a slasher or two.PG- Dwyane Wade/Chauncey BillupsSG- Eddie Jones/Ray AllenSF- LeBron James/Bruce Bowen (gag)PF- Shawn Marion/Elton BrandC- Shaquille O'Neal/Tim DuncanSpare Parts: Kyle Korver, Wally Szczerbiak (had to get a Celt in there ), Kirk Hinrich, Ben Wallace. This team has to be built around unselfishness, tough D, and shooting. I left off Kobe and T-Mac bc i thought they would shoot too much. It would be nice to have Dirk, but he'll play fro Germany.
If I were to make up the USA team, it would look like thisG: Dywane Wade, Chauncey BillupsSG: Kobe Bryant, Rip HamiltonSF: LeBron James, Tracy McGradyPF: Amare Stoudemire, Elton BrandC: Dwight Howard, Ben WallaceI think with that lineup the USA would have the talent the team in 2004 didn't have, it would have a few unselfish players who can create shots for others (Wade, Bron, Billuips), a few players who can get real hot and take over games (T-mac, Kobe, Bron, Wade), and EVERY single player on that team can play very good defense, minus Bron and Wade, and you got 3 players who have won a championship together and play very well as a team (Piston trifecta). Also guys, remember, we are talking 2 more years. That would put Duncan in a spot where he'd be a little too old to play, and judging by his injuries, he won't offer too much for that squad,a nd he already turned it down. Shaq will definately be too old to play, and he already turned it down. KG is already on decline IMO, and I think in 2 years Amare will be a better player and Brand will be just as good and unselfish. Other players who could really provide great help to the team: Ron Artest (defense, scoring), Richard Jefferson (good defense and another good slasher), Ray Allen (fantastic shooter), Michael Redd (another fantastic shooter), Andre Igoudala (already great defender and transition player, by then could be fantastic scorer), and Chris Paul (amazing passer, unselfish, great playmaker, and decent scoring option if need be). Overall, with that lineup, and maybe a tweak or 2, I think we could see a VERY good team. They are all unselfish and they all seem to get along (except Kobe and Dwight after what Kobe did to him last year :no1: ). They also play great defense, have 3 players you could put in and they already have exerience with each other, and most of them are all role players or can fit into a roll and not go outside of that role.
Shaq is already declining. He won't be good at all in 2 more seasons. And I don't think Shaq wants to go. He said no last year and I just don't think he'd do that great in international bball especially with how he's declining.Amare, Marion, Wade are guys that I think Colangelo is picking for the team and they would be good. Also, Chris Paul would be a good choice. Ray Allen should go there because we need shooting when we face international teams...
T-Mac, Kobe, Chauncey, and Rip are all good enough for shooting and can defend much better than Ray. We do not need Ray, although I think he would be a good edition if T-Mac or Kobe decided not to go.

Why don't you reunite with reality and come back to earth. Also, on Shaq, he ain't doing it, I will bet you a million dollars he doesn't. Wanna take me up on that offer?Ignoring my bet.vvvvvv
That's just what I would like to see happen. Shaq and Kobe one more time. Anyways I didnt post my line up so here it isShaqTim DuncanT-MacKobeWadeBench would be pretty much what everybody else is saying
PG-Chauncey Billups/Mike BibbySG-Kobe Bryant/Fred HoibergSF-Tayshaun Prince/Shawn MarionPF-Elton Brand/Dwight HowardC-Brad Miller/Emeka OkaforThat is a pretty good team with a lot of defense, rebounding and unselfishness. I think that team would do pretty well against the other countries. It was tough to leave off guys like Dwayne Wade and Lebron James, but I just don't think they are cut out for Olympic play.
PG - Chauncey BillupsSG - Ray AllenSF - Bruce BowenPF - Shawn MarionC - Tim DuncanPG2 - Jason KiddSG2 - Michael ReddSF2 - Carmelo AnthonyPF2 - Rasheed WallaceC2 - Ben Wallace11th - Rip Hamilton12th - Tayshaun PrinceCoach - Flip SaundersAssistant - Whoever the heck is on the Pistons staff
I say make the coach and coaching staff the Suns'. I'm saying that because D'Antoni and Ivaroni(i forgot spelling ) are good coaches and used to the international game. But also with those two you can get Flip, Avery and the Duke coach. I don't care who the head coach is but that would be a nice combination.I'd also put Amare and Bosh/Howard instead of Rasheed and Duncan. I don't know about Jason Kidd though with his age.
Ya Duncan probably won't play, so I can replace him with KG. Rasheed is a must, as he can run that Pistons system and hit the three pointer. Considering Kidd is a mediocre shooter, Chris Paul is considerable

Ray Allen, Michael Redd, and Kyle Korver to name a few.
I didn't want to put too many stars out there, we need more role players who will do the little things to win. Hoiberg is a good defender, one of the best shooters in the league and is extremely smart. You ask him to do something and he'll do it.
You can put as many stars as you want on there, the thing is they allc an't be same type of player. That was part of problem with 2004 USA team (AI/Bron/Wade for example). This is still by fart he best lineup the USA team can have, it is young, explosive, defensive minded, physical, and each player plays a different role somewhat. And on top of it all, more 3 point shooting!G: Dywane Wade, Chauncey BillupsSG: Kobe Bryant, Rip HamiltonSF: LeBron James, Tracy McGradyPF: Amare Stoudemire, Elton BrandC: Dwight Howard, Ben Wallace
C- Howard/?PF- Amare/OkaforSF- Tmac/LebronSG- Kobe/RipPG- Wade/BillupsOlympic gold guarenteed. All these player can play their roles, none of them are uncoachable anymore. This team doesn't need D, their offense can destroy any other offense in the world.
