Yes this team is struggling. Yes we are losing games we should win. Yes we are seeing inconsistencies from our players.

I slapped myself around today and remembered that this team is the second youngest in the NBA.

It has four rookies that are playing regular minutes in the rotation, which means four guys that were not part of the team last season (except for Oden).

It lost three major pieces of the rotation last season (Jack, Webster, Jones).

We are still in the playoff hunt.

    Time to breath.

they're millionaire athletes, not a JV team. IF they play like crap, call them out. If they are awesome, give them props.

pretty simple. I'm a bit disappointed right now, just no game plan. Sure, injuries....but still, shouldn't let the lead slip

Well, there's a difference between calling them out, and just being negative all the time. I feel like I've been too negative so I'm going to chill out a bit

We're having a great season. 4 rookies (2 in the starting line up), injuries to Roy, Rudy, Joel, Blake, and Webster and we're playing .600 ball. It's really amazing when you think about it.

Hey, if you're not going to panic like a little bitch . . . well, you just don't belong in here!!!

I'm already planning a lottery party at my house and am starting a petition here in San Jose to get Nate fired. Only problem is not many ppl round here are going to know who Nate is or care.

Thanks, Nate! I'm glad to see at least some balancing out. If we all collectively ignore 90% of Mixum's posts, they'll go away. Let's try, no?

I blocked Mixum and a couple of other posters who get my blood boiling. It's taken a lot of the posts out of the game threads, but it's generally made things much more enjoyable around here. My blood pressure has gone down anyway

I just needed to remember how great our future looks!

Odd something similar happened to me.

And yes, the Blazers do have a bright future.

No reason at all to panic. They are on pace to make the playoffs in one of the bottom 3 spots, which is progress no matter how you look at it. They may take a game or two in the playoffs, but they aren't going to win a series. They just don't have a single person on the team who knows what that takes.

Anyone who thought Oden would dominate after not playing a year recovering from major knee surgery is a moron. Tonights game is just a taste of what is to come.

4 years ago Portland was the worst fucking team in the league. Now they are on their way up. Enjoy the ride.

I might have to give in and invoke my God given right to Ignore. Maybe I'll try it for a week or so and see how it goes. But shit, I'd imagine I'd only see half of the threads on this board given the people I'd put on my ignore list :)

So what exactly happens when someone's on your ignore list? Let's say I put some make believe poster we'll call muxiM on there - what happens when she: 1) starts a thread and 2) posts within someone else's thread?

In scenario #1, would I even see that thread at all? And in #2, would muxiM's replies even show up as a blank post or just get omitted altogether?

Yes you get to see the thread, but not the post.

They show up as "post blocked" or something to that effect. You know who posted it, but you don't see what they posted. UNFORTUNATELY, people quote the blocked posts and you see them anyway. :sigh:
