I'd see if VC could get Camby and Gordon or Thorton from the Clippers.

VC + Boone for Camby + Gordon + Novak + Minny conditional 1st works in Trade Checker.

Clips get the star and a young, defensive minded Center to spell Kaman. NJ gets a young 2G prospect, A defensive minded vet Center who expires during the 2010 FA Fantasy Draft and the 1st round pick via Minny in the Jaric/Cassell deal (Top 10 protected this year).

I think the Nets need to hold out for more. After Carter in terms of assets, if they want to rebuild around Harris, whom do they have?

    Harris
    Gordon/CDR
    SF Hole
    Yi/Anderson
    Lopez

What else do you think they can get? The going rate for a "superstar" is a young prospect, cap relief and draft picks.

KG got Al Jefferson, Gomes, Telfair, Green and picks
Ray Allen got the #5 pick and Delonte West
Pau Gasol got Marc Gasol, Crittenton, McKie and picks

Seems like Gordon + Camby + 1st is about on par, maybe ask to keep Boone and send something else. But thats about what you are going to get.

well it may be very much active... according to http://hoopshype.com/rumors.htm

there is a potential Hughes(chi) for Simmons n Ager deal in the talks....

I can't say i like it initially. i am a Simmons supporter/fan, his game isn't flashy, it's strictly a finisher and very good shooter, esp from 3. he's a gr8 character guy n teammate from what i hear.

Now i know we need an upgrade, but moving him would leave us a bigger hole at the 3...imo

im for the trade...just move Cater to the 3...and in case of more injuries Hughes is someone that can run the Point.

i agree with Hughes running the point, if an injury were to occur to one of our ball handlers, but i wouldn't like moving VC to the 3. he's not a 3 anymore and is better off at the 2 imo...

I think Hughes would bring more to the table than Simmons, especially if they are looking to make a playoff run this year

Good luck with that, try to get Hughes to play the 1 or the 3 and he will tell you he's not having fun, and starts jacking up long range jumper...ahem, bricks.

Yeah, he alternated with Boobie Gibson at the 1 and 2. But he made it pretty clear he wasn't pleased with having to play the 1 when asked to.

that's actually not that bad an offer. But I can't help but think Minnesota can get better return for Miller if they package him with an expiring contract of thier own or picks, since they have a possible 4 1st Rounders and two 2nd rounders this year alone

IDK that the nets would be willing to offer more though.

that's what I was thinking. It's nothing against the Nets, but to try and make a deal good enough to "outbid" in a trade for Miller, they would have to give up too much....and unless thier pick ends up being a top 10 pick....it wouldn't be as appealing to Minnesota who has four 1st Rounders (possible) already
