In a few years??? The fan base can't handle that; most everybody will have jumped off a bridge by then. Can't he figure it out by, say, February?
I honestly believe Kevin Love would have more double doubles if he was given more playing time when Whittman was coaching...Since McHale has started coaching Love has been a rebounding machine!!!
Yep, LeBron was the youngest - and he also had 7 assists. These searches only go back top the 1986-87 season. I suspect Moses Malone did it several times as an 19-year old rookie in the ABA since he averaged 18.8 PPG, 14.6 RPG, 1.5 BPG and 1.0 SPG for 83 games. Of course, if we're going to include the ABA, Spencer Haywood averaged 30.0 PPG and 19.5 RPG as a 20-year old rookie. They didn't keep blocks and steals back then. The following year, as a 21-year old, he averaged "only" 20.6 PPG and 12.0 RPG in the NBA. I can't really think of anyone who would have done it, as a 20-year old, in the NBA prior to 1986-87. Players coming out of high school, with a few exceptions (Moses, Bill Willoughby, Darryl Dawkins) was a rarity, and even leaving college early was pretty rare back then. And, most of the players who left college early back in the 1970s went to the ABA, rather than the NBA. BNM
Cool stats! Since I'm too lazy to check... How does that list look if you change it to be any rookie instead of a certain age?
I wouldn't read too much into this. Tyson Chandler at 19: 21 points, 12 rebounds, 3 blocks, 1 steal 16 points, 15 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 blocks, 1 steal Tyson Chandler at 20: 27 points, 18 rebounds, 2 blocks 21 points, 17 rebounds, 7 blocks, 1 steal 19 points, 22 rebounds, 3 blocks 23 points, 14 rebounds, 3 blocks 15 points, 12 rebounds, 6 blocks Shaq is the only one to have a 27-17-2-1 game at this young age...so chandler is shaq's equal.
This can only mean one thing: trade him while he still has value! this message brought to you by Mixum
Then again, you're a homer... so nobody really takes you seriously around here. So, tell us, how are the new "Power Rankiings" coming along!?
Best line of last night, from Antonio Harvey: "His lefty hook is better than his righty hook, but as long as he's hooking, then I'm OK." Is that why Oden's energy level always seems low, because he's hooking in his spare time?
It was a very nice game. The question is, how many stinkers will we have to sit through before he does it again?
Hooking is only a 2-minute penalty at Memorial Coliseum...but it seems that when Greg gets into trouble, he sits until intermission.
I gotta wonder what Wheels thinks sometimes when Harvey tries to spew his 'knowledge' or one-liners during a game.
I love watchin' Greg when he is on... there isn't one Blazer I have ever wanted to play well like this before. I love Gregory and he is probably my favorite player on the team. But you gotta stick w/ him through the thick and thin, guys.
Awww hell . . . what did I miss? It's a shame I didn't get to see the post before he got banned . . . again.
That list posted hasn't been updated lately because Marc Gasol had like a 27 and 16 game versus the Warriors.
