Oh snap, I said it. Yea, I know this is opening a whole can of worms, but I don't care. This team inspires no hope in me whatsoever. For the past month or so, the only thing keeping me interested has been my odd Bargnani obsession. I need to find something else to get hopeful about. Until we dump JO on some sucker GM (paging Pat Riley...) and get a boatload of cap space, we can't really start talking about upcoming free agents. Maybe draft talk can fill the void. So, anybody have any idea about this year's draft? Is it top heavy or can you potentially come out with a solid player at the end of the lottery? I'm looking in your direction Bas.
I just want some that can score. This team needs a wing that can score. Maybe Stephen Curry? I dont really know though, I dont watch much college ball.
It's tough, Curry could actually be there at our spot. But it'll be easier to see where this stands after the trade deadline. I'll start some profiles after the trade deadline.
Honestly, at the 3 I'd hope for a rebounding perimeter defender who can keep defenses honest with his jumpshot. That's it. Marion, Howard, etc. would be nice but I think we could get by just with that. With Bargnani slotted in at the 5, getting more rebounding from all the guard spots becomes more important. And we need someone to throw on the opposing team's scoring guard, since AP's started to age.
