Another issue is, Channing for Ime does not work straight up, which calls for adding in another contract on their end, and most likely waiving that player or Shavlik. Not that that is a big issue, but there aren't that many players to fit into a deal on SA's end to make that swap work. Michael Finley is the only one I could see that makes it work easily salary wise, but he has the right to waive a trade, which I doubt he would do from SA to come here. Unless we just bought him out, and allowed him to go back.
I don't think they would trade Finley and I'm sure he wouldn't come to Portland if they did. The only other trade I could see working unless it was a major trade is this: http://games.espn.go.com/nba/featur...754~2810~1721~866&teams=24~24~22~22&te=&cash= I have a feeling there will not be a trade because it really doesn't work.
I agree but couldn't find anything else that would work unless both teams gave up some major players in trade which isn't going to happen. So, this trade for IME isn't going to happen IMO.
