On 1st and 10 right now on ESPN, they were talking about how bad the Knicks are (go figure) and Woody Paige and some other guy were saying how Isiah has been summoned to Texas to have a meeting with the Knicks brass including Jim Dolan. Woody thinks he will be fired at the end of this trip and according to his sources he will go after the Indiana job. I like Isiah but I just dont think we are heading in the right direction with him. What you guys think? I think Larry is part of the problem too.
New poster here, and this is the first place that I should stick my nose into. First of all, Isiah Thomas has done a C- job on the Knicks roster. He brought the Knicks fame (Stephon Marbury, Larry Brown) and yet he has also brought them disaster (Tim Thomas, Vin Baker, Maurice Taylor, Quentin Richardson). Sometimes, Thomas just has to sit back and watch the team, rather than keep on making things worse and worse by adding more and more to this payroll. If I were Jim Dolan, I would simply fire Thomas (having the 2nd worst record in the league with a payroll at now 125 million), bring Larry Brown in as president/coach of the team, similiar to the Don Nelson tandem, and then then just slowly let the contracts come off the Knicks salary cap, instead of adding more and more, to make the Knicks even more of a mess. It's all just mayhem right now, and thanks to the fact that Thomas gave away our lottery pick to the Bulls (he thought that the draft class wasnt good anyway, and we were going to the playoffs). Well New York, start rebuilding, AGAIN. We aren't going to be competitive for the next 5 years.
for NY's sake, i sure hope so. But as a Celtics fan, i hope he continues to sabotage their chances at ever being great.
peace zeke. you brought in every possible big contract to new york. what an idiot. all he cares about is selling tickets not winning. if he wanted to win he would've brought in guys that play defense. i hope he gets fired.
Its safe to say Isiah should be checked into a mental facility. The guy ruined the Knicks, and never picked up what he was doing wrong. If he walks the streets of New York, he should die

Owner James Dolan and Thomas each spoke briefly to the team during practice yesterday at the FedEx Forum, where the Knicks (15-41) meet the Grizzlies (31-26) tonight. They offered a strong show of support for a 65-year-old Hall of Fame coach who has been getting no competitive response from his team lately, and Dolan promised no changes in the coaching or front-office staff. "I think what both of them said was really good," Brown said. " has been real supportive, and Isiah's been real supportive. I don't know how they can be watching us play."</div>
Isiah was never good at anything Basketball wize besides being a player. He was a terreble coach in the 2003 Star Game giving Michael Jordan all that playing time while guys on the bench were complaining to play and now he's a even worst GM. Some people are just not good at doing certian things. Magic was a great player but his talk show and coaching sucked, Isiah was a great player but his coaching and GMing suck's/d
He has done a horendous job as a GM, and for that, I thank him..Who would have thought that anybody could do a worse job than Layden at running this team? The two of them absolutely ran this team into the ground..The team is fiscal mess and the players obviously arent getting the job done..At some point, changes will be made to the coaching/management staff this offseason. Im sure there will be more trades made to attempt to improve the club, but I dont see this team having any sort of success in any form for the next couple years...The best part of all this is they dont have a lottery pick this year after their horendous season..
Maybe Dolan should be fired first, cause he's the idiot that's really keeping Isiah around these days. Isiah will not resign from this team, he has to be fired. If Dolan is still around, then Isiah will be too. At this point I have given up on the Knicks for the season, it's just not worth following them anymore.
dolan-idiot. made us trade latrell for van horn.layden-<Censored> who sucks off anyone from utah and listened to dolan. also overpaid shitty players like shandon anderson and howard eisley. also thought it was a good idea to pay allan houston 120 mil.isiah-thinks stockpiling huge contracts is a good idea.the only smart person in the organization is larry. he knows what he's doing. i doubted him at first but i think he's our only hope. please god save this franchise.

Everytime I see the guy coaching a Knicks game he has this "what am i doing here" look on his face
