Honestly firing Iavaroni was a good decision. The players didn't like him and like Marc said we didn't have an identity or a system. I'm not sure about hiring Hollins. The front office must of saw something in him after being an assistant for so long. Hiesley said he wanted to get some chemistry going so then there wasn't a big transition during training camp. Thoughts?
Bomba, the Grizz should've not hired MI in the first place. He never struck me as the disciplinarary type. His plans to coach the team was really inconsistant at best. And without any direction, how did he expect his players let alone the fans to trust in him to help turn the Grizzlies around in a few yrs. With the hiring of Lionel Hollins, I can't say what will happen with the group from here until April. He states that he will allow Mike Conley to have some freedom to run the floor and set up the plays for his teammates. Conley along with everyone else has a lot of work to do along with gaining the fans faith back in them as well. Whatever Hollins has in mind to help get some consistancy back to this team. I wish him luck.
I like what I saw last night already in a loss. The tempo was faster and they at least look organized playing. It was a loss, but we have to start somewhere.
