Amazing seasons, which someone beat them out for MVP. The 1st Player that comes to mind is Scottie Pippen when he lead the Bulls to a 50+ win team, without the greatest player ever, who many that was the Bulls while averaging career high numbers and almost 25 PPG.
Elvin Hayes was robbed in 1977 by Bill Walton. He was rebounding like a monster that year on top of 20 ppg scoring. Also his team won the CHAMPIONSHIP. While Waltons team was eliminated in the second round. Also in 2002 in Jason Kidds first season with the Nets he led a team who had a horrible record the season before to the NBA finals. The Nets didnt even make the playoffs the year he wasnt there. He shows up and leads them to the NBA finals. He was snubbed by Tim Duncan.

Great call on the Big E though.
How the hell was Jason Kidd snubbed? Wtf, that spurs team in 2003 was weak, now it probably couldn't pass for a 6th seed. Duncan carried that team onto his back t the playoffs and then the championshipNo sir, Duncan was the rightful MVP.
