Who was the better player? I'd like to start this thread but saying,even though Magic won more rings, His team was much younger, but not to take away from him, it was an even greater feat for his young team to beat the Celtics several times, But I think the main reason for that was that team when Bird came into the Celtics were in their Prime, by the 90s unlike the Lakers, the team was very old, while the Lakers other then the retirement of Kareem was still generally in it's prime.

Even though they did play different positions so you cant really compare them to much. I would have to say that Magic was better. He had more assists and like you said more rings. I think Bird was really amazing though, but I think Magic might have been a better all around player. Like playing any position on the court. So im not hating on Bird but I like magic more.
