Jan 28th vs Charlotte Gametime 7 pm Pacific Time CSN Not that long ago, on Jan 17th, we visited the Bobcats in Charlotte. In a game we'd like to have back the Bobcats beat us at the wire. This was a game in which ALL of us at ClubBlazers picked the Blazers to win. We've got them on our home court this time, and its our turn. So I'm picking them to win again this time. But if we're going to do so, we're going to have to find a way to stop Gerald Wallace, who absolutely murdered us in Charlotte. Highlights from that game and a video recap can be viewed here. There is also a video of BlazerSlayer Gerald Wallace taking it right at Greg Oden. After the game, many of us who have been speculating about possible trades were pretty much sold on Wallace as a guy we would want on our roster. It was at this time a year ago when the Blazers suffered a flat tire and sputtered during the race for the postseason. They lost seven of 10 games during a pivotal stretch before the All-Star break and withered in the closing weeks as more experienced teams gained late-season steam. But a year later the Trailblazers find themselves with a golden opportunity to bolster their playoff chances with a favorable schedule loaded with some of the league's worst teams. They'd like to have their starting point guard Steve Blake available and make a run towards taking the division lead from Denver. After returning to the starting lineup in Monday nights game against the Los Angeles Clippers Blake bumped his shoulder, left the game, and did not return. He played just six minutes. No word yet on whether he will play against the Bobcats, or if his spot in the starting lineup will once again be taken by Sergio Rodriguez, whose game has improved markedly over Blakes five game absence. Rodriguez assists to turnover ration has improved to 4 to 1. I have a good feeling we'll get our revenge on Charlotte. If we can get to 28-17 going into Saturday's game with Utah, that'd be HUGE!!
