Memphis didn't do anything wrong. You and them are competing for the same free agents this summer. They did what they could to take a swipe at your cap room. There is no problem with that, you are competitors. Obviously it doesn't guarantee Memphis any free agents, but they still took a very appealing destination away for the 2009 free agents.

Uhhh... Memphis re-signed Miles and he's playing. Don't see what your argument there is.

Signing a player and holding him hostage (denying him any PT, probably keeping him away from the team altogether) is every bit as unethical as whatever you accuse Memphis of doing.

    Fear the curse.

The Grizz just lost to the Nets by 11. That's nine in a row - by an average margin of defeat of 13.1 points. Not only are they losing, they are getting killed.

I repeat - Fear the curse.

Portland tried to claim him and guarantee his contract after Memphis threw him in the garbage. Not sure why you are trolling here other than that the mods don't like me. Did they cry to you about me? Learn the facts about the situation, then post further.

Miles with yet another game without an assist. I hope the Grizzlies fold at this point. If Chris Wallace can still have a GM job, everybody else in the USA should have a job.

Don't know how I'm just now seeing this...

And lock him away on the bench. Which is equally as unethical as what you accuse Memphis of doing.

I don't have the pro-Blazers opinion in this instance, therefore I am trolling. Nice one.

    Back at you.

Apparently Mo Cheeks turned down Hollins' offer to be an assistant in Memphis.

Nice to see Mo make a solid decision.

You can probably make that 10 in a row after they play Denver tonight. Chris Wallace sucks!

Hmm.. Miles with 10 points tonight as they keep leading Denver. Can the Grizzlies help us out?

    The curse lives.

That's 10 in a row. Another double digit loss.

    Fear the curse.

Next up on the Feud: Shavlik's Breach of Ethics Lawsuit against the Blazers for not getting off the bench this year. How dare they!

The difference is that with Shavlik, the Blazers aren't trying to circumvent the salary cap, while with Miles, they would be.

It explicitly says in the CBA that the NBA has the right to block any transaction or action that it deems is an attempt to circumvent the salary cap.

So what was the point on getting Francis and giving up a pick? Or was this just another stupid move that Chris Wallace made that he threw against the wall to see if something would work? That guy is a complete idiot.

Presumably they got enough money to make it worth their while.

Arithmetic's not hard, and I have a difficult time thinking that Chris Wallace simply can't count.

That's up for debate. Miles was not the property of any team when PDX tried to claim him, and Miles would have been paid for the rest of the season. I'm not sure how this circumvents the cap when other moves that are clearly made only for financial reasons are allowed by the NBA.
