True enough. I wasn't hating on Bynum, it WAS a helluva game, but you have to take it with a grain of salt (same with Oden against the Bucks).
15 ponts 11 reb 4 blocks (3 against Timmy) 1 ast 1 stl 24 minutes He is hustling down the floor a lot more and his teammates are rewarding him. He is also manufacturing a lot on his own by either offensive boards and putbacks, or quality footwork to get the high % shot he wants
Bynum is effin' good. I don't hate on him at all, he is probably my favorite Fakers player. Glad to see they are occasionally getting him the ball (finally). I don't know what is with NBA coaches sometimes; if you have a seven footer with skills in the low post, you might wanna give him a shot now and then. (<----- read that, Blazer guards) It is almost unfair how much talent the Lakers have right now. I am hoping for a Lakers/Cavs finals. Kobe vs Lebron= good for the NBA and fans. I don't care about the history between the Celts and Lakers, Stern has to be PRAYING for CLE vs LA. Maybe next year, it'll be a Portland/LA WCF... 'Rizz, you will be wanting flame retardant gear up in this forum at that point!
What? Bosh is undersized? I think you're confusing him with someone else. At 6'10" he's above the average height for a PF. If he were 6'8" or especially 6'7" you'd have a point. The Lakers are one of the few teams to have the luxury of having two talented players 7' tall, and Pau's shooting ability allows them to play off of each other.
geeeezuss man, I think that vein on your forehead is about to bust open. You might want to have that looked at.
I find it comical that this thread genuinely pisses people off...Nevermind that there are a lot of parallels between Oden and Bynum.
So Bynum now has had a 20/10 game 3 out of the last 4. Last week he was named player of the week for the first time. He has scored in double digits for eleven games in a row now. He would have won us the game tonight except Phil took him out with 2:30 left in the first OT even though he was dominating on both sides of the court during that particular part of the game. If he stays in right there we win...not a doubt in my mind. Anyways his last four games stats are: vs LAC 42 Points 15 Rebounds 3 Blocks 17/24 FG 36 Min vs WAS 23 points 14 rebounds 1 block 2 assists 28 minutes vs SAS 15 ponts 11 reb 4 blocks 1 ast 1 stl 24 minutes vs CHA (2ot) 24 points 14 rebounds 6 blocks 1 ast 41 minutes Six freakin blocks tonight! He is also having all these games with minimal amount of time on the court for a starter.
Bynum has been playing at an all-star level over the past 4 games. he is averaging 21ppg and 13.5rpg which is great. Gregory is at 17 and 11 in less minutes than Bynum over the last 4. Greg is actually averaging like 14 and 11 (around there, not exactly sure) in games where he plays over 30minutes, which is a telling statistic.
I know I rip on the L*kers a lot, but anyone who loves basketball can't help to look forward to the next decade with those two going head-to-head. Bynum/Oden could rank up there with some of the greats.
Oden w/ 14 and 14 last night to add to his 17 and 11 average... he is gettin' about 16.5ppg and 11.5rpg over the last 5.... he is finally starting to get his game back. Physically, mentally, consistantly and all that. Go Greg!
^ very nice...LAL/POR next meeting is in POR right?...hopefully no injuries to both teams until then. Both now pretty much have their feet under them
That block he had in the second half from the weak side is the best proof I've seen that Oden is getting back near 100%. He was so freaking high on that block.
are you talkin about the SPIKE where he slapped it out to the three point line? That was nice. He probably had 6 inches to spare on that swat.
