    Here's my attempt to be the first to use "where's the Love?"

    (What's particularly weird about that, if that list is legit, is that the rookie team would have precisely ONE forward, while the Sophs would have SEVEN.)

    not necessarily. lee dominated 2007, carmelo 2005, amare 2004, brand 2000, etc. oden could have a huge game putting in everybody's misses.

    it's not a shock that he wasn't recognized, but it's a crime that he's not there. leads all rookies in PER and rebounding, and is 4th in entire league in rebounding rate. deserves to be there way more than rudy.

    Also, just saw this ...

    Dwayne Wade will be assistant coach for the rookie team, and Dwight Howard assistant for the sophomores. Cool idea. I like that. They'll probably be wired.

    Guard dominated? True, but that didn't stop Lee (2007), Anthony (2005), Stoudamire (2004) and Brand (2000) from winning Rookie Game MVP. So that's 4 front-court MVPs in the last 9 years.

    At the risk of getting flamed, I would have to say Love deserves to be on the team as much as Oden. GO has missed too much time and had too many truly awful games.

    It is interesting that they picked three centers and a 3/4 tweener, rather than give one of the center spots to Love. Assistant coaches picked the team, so it probably reflects who they would like to see in the game. Love isn't exactly a highlight reel kind of guy (although he does have some nice ones now and then).
