I agree with the blogger. It was a hard foul, but I don't think Bynum had any ill intent to injure Crash. I feel terrible for Wallace though, I hope he has a speedy recovery.

Wallace went up for the dunk, and Bynum was in the way. What's he supposed to do, run away like a pussy?

Im surprised Bynum is getting so much shit for that play. He didnt even hit him in the head! It was clearly just a foul after a late rotation that resulted in an unfortunate accidental injury.

Nobody on the Lakers has ever done anything wrong, so clearly that is also the case here, as well.

By the way, KG is a big jerk!

Yesterday on the radio they speculated Bynum might have retaliated in reaction to the foul Gerald Wallace laid on Kobe on a loose ball rebound. Wallace and Kobe had their arms tangled and Wallace gave him a little extra yank. I remember the play and they showed it on replay, but I didn't think much of it and Kobe was smiling about it.

The game was physical throughout and unfortunately Wallace suffered a nasty injury.

Do you think this play will set a tone for the Lakers now for being a more physical team?

My actual opinion of the play was that it was a hard foul. I don't think he intended to injure Wallace, but he did use unnecessary force in the play.

How do you determine what's necessary?

Well, I don't think he made a play on the ball. He basically gave him a body check, which by definition is a flagrant foul.

I agree he didn't make a play on the ball and the flagrant foul was the right call. I don't think he should be suspended though.

I would like to see a rule put in place that says if you injure somebody with a flagrant foul, then you will be suspended for it. But since no such rule exists, then he shouldn't be suspended.

It was a tough 80's style foul. I'm very sorry Wallace got hurt like that, and Bynum should try to play the ball a bit better next time.

KG is not a jerk, just batshit crazy. Not even as charming as Dennis Rodman. :]

    I just saw the replay.

    WOW

what a dirty play. Seriously, that was a dirty play he was trying to kill G-Wall out of frustration.

David Stern you fucking dumbass, open up your eyes. You should've suspended this no good punk against Memphis!!!
