the league's best all-around player.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Pierce gives you another shooter/rebounder/runner who can play three positions and wouldn't care about playing time; I think he's the best all-around player in the league right now. If you don't believe me, watch a Celtics game.</div>yeah, i wouldn't go that far, but Pierce is playing as well as anyone right now.Link- read towards the bottom.

Right now, I think he is a top five player in the league. He brings so much to the floor night in and night, gotta love him.

Pierce is definately a top 5, maybe 3 player, I mean people talk about Kobe like he's a god and Pierce had a great game against the Lakers, didn't score as much points but shot a better field goal percentage and had a lot of impressive moves especially that dunk he had early on. I can't believe how nasty Pierce has played this season, he's solidifying his status as a superstar in this league.

And the amazing part is, he still doesn't get any love. Everyone contiues to bash him, and Grant freaking Hill got more All-Star votes than Paul. Just one more example of how the media doesn't know <Censored>.

Bill Simmons is from ESPN, that tells you all you need to know right there. Paul Pierce a top 5 or top 3 player? Come on now...

I'd say Pierc THIS YEAR is easily top 10. I probably wouldn't put him in the top 5, but who knows? He has been playing well as really anyone lately.

Marion, Garnett, Kirilenko, LeBron, Wade are all better all-around players..Those guys are easily better, and I think there are a handfull of players that are still better than him overall..

I agree, Marion and LeBron are better all-around, but I'd say right now, KG is about equal to Paul. Paul is much better offensively than Kirilenko, and Wade doesn't have a jumpshot at all. So Pierce has the edge on those two.

To Me It's Steve Nash. He's the best all around player because he's just so good and it seems like his game has no flaws.

No-one has realised yet that Simmons is a celtics homer. He'll probably say next time Paul pierce is better than kobe. I don't take anything he says seriously including this.

Not sure about him being a homer but he's a celtics fan.Simmons has earned a love/hate relationship with his readers, who often complain he writes far too often about Boston-related topics. A native Bostonian, Simmons is a passionate fan of the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots and Boston Celtics. He also as passionately roots against certain teams, specifically the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Lakers. Having moved to Los Angeles at the end of 2002, he is currently a Los Angeles Clippers season ticket holder.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_SimmonsI already knew he hated kobe, now i know he hates the lakers as a franchise. He reminds of bcb interms of who he hates.
