Heard this the other day on ESPN,I wanna hear your opinions, heres what ESPN said best backcourts where.Spurs-Parker/GinobiliPistons-Chauncy/RipMiami-Jwill/DwayneI don't really agree with miami,I think Carter and Kidd make a better backcourt.
I think Kidd and Carter is the best talent wise, obviously Rip and Chauncey have been the most succesfull this year and earn the right to be called the "best backcourt"..
Everyone has already named the best, but some that could emerge are:Chris Paul/JR Smith or Kirk SnyderDelonte West/Gerald GreenShaun Livingston/??Kirk Hinrich/Ben Gordon
Definitely the Nets with the Pistons right behind. Also, the Warriors with Baron Davis and Jason Richardson is another one to consider. To me it looks more like they're comparing the top three teams' back courts, rather than the entire leagues.
Hinrich and Gordon strike me as a backcourt that could potentialy do some damage in this league. I also like the combo of Chris Paul, and JR Smith.

JR Smith was actually rumored to be shopped at the trade deadline but a deal to San Antonio involving Brent Barry could not be completed. After a succesfull rookie season that saw him become quite popular, Smith has been in Byron Scott's doghouse all season..
Yea, I don't really follow the Hornets. I heard about the trade rumors, but didn't realize Smith was taken out of the starting lineup. He is still young, with nice upside, maybe he will get back on track and be the player we all thought he could be after watching him put together a very nice rookie year.

One of the more underrated: Mobley/CassellAnother personal favorite of mine- Bibby/K.MartinNash/Bell is damn good as wellThe best is probably Carter/Kidd or Parker/Ginobilli
I say it's the Pistons. Both are lights out shooters, mid range and long range. Both play good defense and play smart. And both are 20 ppg guys but are not flashy ball hogs. So I gotta go with the Pistons.
i hate the nets but i gotta go with vince and kidd. kidd's the best pg in the game still and vince is just a crazy athlete that can score anywhere.
i think you gotta say the pistons backcourt is the best with vince and kidd right behind followed by j-rich and baron.........i might lose some credibility with this but with the addition of steve francis the knicks backcourt has to be right up there to<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (nykfan4life @ Mar 2 2006, 09:26 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>kidd's the best pg in the game still</div>kidd is not playing anywhere near the level that nash is playing at right now
I think the Nets backcourt is the best. Your comparing the winning of the teams, look who Detriot has besides those 2 and look who the Nets have. If Billups and Hampilton went head to head with Kidd and Carter, i think it wouldnt even be close.

Kidd and carter dont have any good replacements on the bench either but the pistons record speaks for itself

I would put Kidd and Nash in the same class of elite PG's with Billups, though. Nobody else comes close to these three..1. Nash2. Kidd3. Billups

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>and of course he is a former maverick....what do you expect??</div>What's that supposed to mean? There's some bad former Mavericks, and I mean bad.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I say it's the Pistons.
