I'm pretty excited about this season. I know the Jays didn't do anything to amazing, but I always like a fresh season. I just hope we can keep up with the rest of our division.
That is a rough division for the Jays to be in....The Yankees have the most money, the Rays have the best farm system, and the Red Sox have stacked pitching again....85 wins likely gets you a 4th place finish....
I wouldn't forget about Baltimore. They have some pretty good young talent (Pie/Jones/Markakis in the OF, Wieters at C) that could help them move up a little if they just get some damn pitching.
Jays are still strong, there were many years that if they were not in the East they make the playoffs (like be in the Central). We get 4th at worst.
4 days until Pitchers and Catchers....I'm officially excited....The Nationals train where I live, so I looked into some spring training tickets, but the prices are insane, so I will wait for the minor league season to go to game....
The great thing about finishing so crappy last year, is that there is NO way the Tiggers will finish dead last in the Central.
Cubs pitchers and catchers are officially in camp....the first spring training game is 12 days away....
Its years tell you guys win one... Trivia question, who did the Cubs beat in the 07ish series (I said ish becouse my math is bad in my state of intoxication and cant do simple math)
the Cubs played the Tigers in 1907 and 1908....they won 8 of the 9 games to capture back to back titles....six Hall of Famers played in the two series....of course they havent won since....they have been close to returning to the series, but just cant get over the hump....they lost 2 elimination games in 1984 and 2 in 2003 in the NLCS....
