<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Clippers trailed by four at the half before turning in an historic defensive performance, holding the Hornets to an NBA-record low 16 points after intermission and cruising to an 89-67 victory Wednesday.</div>Clippers.comClips were also tied with some team with the record when they held the Lakers, I believe, to 19 points in a single half.

16 points?? Wow, that's just sad. I don't know whether to congratulate the Clips or bash the other team.

As much as I hate the Clippers' guts, I have to say, nice performance.

The Clippers defense is getting overrated big time here. It was more so that the Hornets were just shooting horrible. At one point they missed 21 straight shots.Overrated or not they broke a record so they have my respect.

Im waiting for the Clippers to fold and go back to their own ways since the Nets have their first round pick this year, but they just keep on winning. Its rather frustrating lol..They picked the wrong year to do good [IMG]

That's a pretty good job by Clips, but it is the Hornets, so let's not go overboard.

A team who won a measly 18 games last year and managed to get win 18 this year on January 16th, not only that, but battle for the 6th seed and a playoff spot. Not to mention people picked them to win no more then 25 games the entire year. Shows how under rated Hornets as a squad are. :dunno:

That is crazy how could they only score 16 points in the secound half. The Hornets need alot of work on their franchise though. Great D by Clippers!

That's why I made my comment.

I think this was more of a case of bad offense then great defense, but they really did shut them out badly. Brand was closing the inside down like Tim Duncan in his prime.
