I'm not a fan of Howard in the dunk contest. I mean, he can jump, but his dunks aren't that nice. I say, have a few players pitch money, make first prize 2 mill or something and see how many guys wanna compete. No matter how long they have been in the league. You take however many players apply and have the fans vote for the top 4. I would love to see a dunk contest of LeBron, JRich, Carter, Mason, etc...
I guess someones a hater? Just joking bud. But seriously, a 7 foot player can't make many dunks look great. Dwight Howards a showman thats why his dunks are always great. It's been evident since that sticker dunk a few years back. I'd love to see a dunk contest which doesn't involve the rising stars. However LeBron James I don't think is creative enough to be a dunk contest participant. But in game his dunks are amazing.
He's a showman, but I wanna see nice dunks. I'm sure everyone wants to see nice dunks. I think if LeBron was motivated, he could do some amazing things. I wanna see someone jump from amazingly far while doing a 360 or something. I'm sure these guys can do it, but the rising stars can't.
Dwight definitely brought some fun to the Dunk competition. Kinda like Dee Brown did so many yrs ago. Can't wait to see what he does. All the leapers get repetative after watching so many years. And I'm tired of the timed self bounce-pass dunks. My fav dunk of recent years was Steve Nash Heading the ball like it was soccer to Amare Stoudemire.
I guess it's about taste. Dwight Howards dunk are exciting. Completely in my opinion though. LeBron James I'm sure can make any dunk that anyone does in the league. But what I'm saying is he lacks the creativity and showmanship that Dwight Howard brings to the competition. I can't see LeBron James pulling off something we've never seen before.
Lebron could/would be like Nique. His dunks may be the same as others, but he'd jump higher and dunk harder than any of the others, thus adding an 'oooooh' degree to it that is lacking with most hops guys.
I remember watching LeBron in the McD's HS Dunk Contest back in '03, and honestly, he was not that impressive. He won because he was LeBron, not because his dunks were jaw-dropping amazing.

Yeah I heard Howard talking about the phone booth on PTI..He cant jump over a normal size one, maybe he is just gonna change in it at half court. I wonder if the players could use a trampoline if they wanted to
