But the Wizards had the home crowd on their side so AI will be looking to get this Philly crowd pumped up to have momentum on the side of the Sixers. Dont let AI get easy baskets, 3-pt plays, defend the perimeter area well, and make sure he doesnt out run you on good picks set by Philly's big men, Webber and Dalembert. I'm hoping Jeffries will be assigned to guard him, becuase of the EXTREME height advantage he has over AI. Dont let Philly run in transition - Especially AI2. Thats where Iggy gets most of his points since he isnt the main option in offense like Webber and Iverson are. Starting Lineup for PhiladelphiaPG Kevin Ollie, UCONNSG Allen Iverson, G'TOWNSF Andre Iguodala, UAPF Chris Webber, MICHIGANC Samuel Dalembert, SETON HALLKeys to the game: Jamison must stay locked up from the arc - Antawn Jamison has been shooting around 54% with the 3 ball since the start of the 2006 year. AJ was stopped in Wednesday's disappointing loss to the Pacers, but still managed to attain a double-double. Also, keep AJ off the glass, Philly is one the worst rebounding teams in the NBA, so dont let Jamison and Co. take advantange of that. Feed the ball to Iggy more - Andre isnt a reliable option on offense, but if the Sixers just give him a chance he can be. Iggy only gets his points on the fastbreak, but is capable of dialing from long-range and he's a pretty good rebounding forward. If AI and Webb. arent feeling it, try Iggy. My Prediction - Wizards win 105-97
Sadly, that hasnt happened ^^. Halftime Philly maintaining the lead, 57-54. Again, Arenas is really quiet, as he always is on National TV. Iverson is basically unstoppable but he is getting almost all of his points on penetration. The Wizards have to do a better job closing out the paint. But we're killing Philly on the glass, which is keeping us in the game. Hope we pull out with a W.
What are u talking about..Wizards blew out philly when the played back in january or december i think..
Yeah, but Arenas came right back with a hard slam and then Daniels got revenge, breaking AI's ankles. It was a pretty good game overall, but I hope Caron feels better against Sacramento on Sunday. We need to be more efficent down the stretch. These losses are piling up, we better act quickly.
This was a in-your-face game to the people who sent tryouts for the olympic team, this shows he actually cares, for once. AI had a sweet dunk
