There are so many good players being dropped right now which is great for the Cards, Vikings and Browns who are some of the few teams that have a lot of cap space to spend. Put down all the dropped players AND FREE AGENTS in this thread:I'll just quote what other people on fantasyplaymakers posted.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>NFL MVP Shaun Alexander, Edgerrin James and Jamal Lewis of the Baltimore Ravens are the top free agent running backs on the market. The Seattle Seahawks are about $9 million under the cap and have the payroll flexibility to re-sign Alexander, who won the rushing title with 1,880 yards and set a single-season record with 27 touchdowns in 2005.However, the Indianapolis Colts are about $9 million over the cap and will not have the ability to match a lucrative offer for James, a two-time rushing champion. The Baltimore Ravens have room under the cap to match an offer for Lewis, who rushed for 906 yards last season and averaged a career-low 3.4 yards per carry.Quarterback Drew Brees, linebacker Julian Peterson and center LeCharles Bentley are other prominent free agents on the market. The Green Bay Packers, San Francisco 49ers and San Diego Chargers also have the ability to pounce on free agents since they are more than $15 million under the cap. However, most of the teams in the league will be scrambling to get under the cap before Friday. The Oakland Raiders, Miami Dolphins, Kansas City Chiefs and Washington Redskins are more than 15 million over the cap. The Dolphins cut cornerback Sam Madison on Wednesday.</div><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Broncos released Mike Anderson. When players complain they don't have guaranteed contracts, think about Anderson. He returned from a torn ACL at 32 years old and rushed for over 1,000 yards before getting dumped despite a reasonable $2.5 million salary. It's possible Anderson could return at a lower rate to the Broncos, but he should get a job as a short-yardage back somewhere. Tatum Bell sits atop the depth chart, but don't expect him to stay there.Quote:Broncos released TE Jeb Putzier. Only a year after matching a handsome offer sheet Putzier signed with the Jets, the Broncos have decided Putzier isn't the answer. Denver could take advantage of the deep rookie class at tight end with one of their two first-round picks.Quote:Panthers released RB Stephen Davis. He was never the same after microfracture surgery last offseason and his career is possibly over. If so, Davis will be remembered for topping 1,300 yards four times in a five-year span between 1999-2003. DT Brentson Buckner and RB Rod Smart were also released.Quote:Bucs re-signed Chris Simms to a one-year contract. This will reportedly keep him off the restricted market, which means he'll probably get over $2 million. Tampa will look to sign Simms long-term later but risk losing him to free agency after next season. Brian Griese is likely to be released if no CBA is worked out.Quote:Bills released DT Sam Adams. The former Pro Bowler is being released for diminished play, poor attitude, and a $3.5 million cap savings. He struggled without Pat Williams next to him and was benched during the 2005 season. Adams will still be an attractive run-clogger for some team.Quote:Texans released QB Tony Banks. And so it begins. Unless a new CBA is worked out by Thursday, we should expect an unprecedented deluge of cuts this week. Running back Tony Hollings and safety Marcus Coleman were also cut. The Texans may believe Dave</div>

All these drops are killing roster depths in the league.I heard that Titans ended up getting a lot of there players back, including Travis Henry and Billy Volek.

It's good for my team. Hopefully Green can snatch up some FA's like he did last year. The Cards won't have to cut anyone since the have A LOT of many. [IMG]

Some nice FA's a comin...<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>By GREGG BELL, AP Sports WriterMarch 2, 2006KIRKLAND, Wash (AP) -- The Seattle Seahawks cut cornerback Andre Dyson and linebacker Jamie Sharper on Thursday and got more time to work on a new contract for NFL MVP Shaun Alexander. The cuts saved the Seahawks over $7.7 million against the league's $94.5 million salary cap for 2006 and left them about $13 million below the cap for now. The room could be key to the team's hopes for re-signing Alexander and other key veterans like wide receiver Joe Jurevicius, Pro Bowl fullback Mack Strong or sack leader Rocky Bernard. All are potential free agents.</div>

The Lions should cut Joey harrington. he is the second highest paid quarterback in the league and we need to be able to have that money for better players.

I really hope Jamal leaves,He has the best LT in the NFL(possibly ever) and gets 1000 yards on a team that runs the ball 3/1 on under 4 YPC? That's pathetic.

The Packers have over 20 million in cap space, they could bring in some good players (Altho Ted Thompson did say he wont bring in any High Profile guys in the offseason, rather taking mid to lower level players, WTF???)

it'd be ironic but wouldnt it be funny if the Packers got TO? They really need good WR's too and he'd be a good fit, although I doubt he wants to join a team that only had 4 wins the previous season.

I don't think the Packers need TO. It would be a waste of money on their part since the have Javon Walker returning from injury, Donald Driver and then Bubba Franks as their TE... They need to improve the defense mostly and give the o-line an upgrade.

We need a DE-DeMarrio williams, an OLB-AJ Hawk, and some DB help, even tho our young guys of Collins and Carroll (refs hate the dude, i swear, they always throw flags JUST ON HIM, pisses me off) but Roman isnt that great, and Harris is getting older. We need a LG and RG, and maybe a Center. If we dont re-sign Ahman, then we might need a RB, because Najeh and Tony Fisher are Free Agents if we dont re-sign them, and i dont think Gado is the RB of the future. Maybe DeAngelo Williams in the draft? I'm not sure what they are gonna do, but tehres a lot of things we need right now, WR not being at the top of the list.

I like Gado. He did well last year and should do better if you can sign a good lineman.

However I have heard it on both the radio and FSN Detroit, the Michigan area FSN.Search Google for "2nd highest paid QB in NFL", the page won't come up, but you see the name Joey Harrington.

He signed a 6 year $36 million dollar deal...adding basic incentives it doesn't make him one of the top payed QB's.
