McGrady leaves Rockets practice with sprained ankle

The Rockets' run of relatively good health could be over after one game.

Tracy McGrady left Friday's practice with a sprained left ankle. The injury is not considered serious, with McGrady listed as "a game-time decision" to play Saturday against the Golden State Warriors.

Wednesday's game was just the third this season with the Rockets' planned rotation available and was the first time McGrady, Yao Ming, Ron Artest and Shane Battier played in the same game this month.

"Oh man, if it ain't one thing it's another," McGrady said. "Right now, it's hard to tell with these things. High ankle sprain. We'll see how I feel in the morning. What can you do? I think this isn't something that's going to keep me out of the lineup for multiple games. We'll make a decision tomorrow.

"It's just frustrating. Practice was going so well. I was getting out there and going at it, one of the few practices I was able to practice and go at it for the whole practice and I got 300-something pounds land on my ankle."

McGrady said Yao Ming stepped on his left ankle as he turned to head down court following a rebound.

"It's painful," McGrady said. "It's hard to walk on it, put a lot of pressure on it. I never had a high ankle sprain. I started feeling good with my knee and going to practice and I got an ankle sprain. I'll be all right."

That movie is pretty good. I had to watch it a 2nd time to really get it, though.

T-Mac is done. The early 2000's superstar generation is slowly disappearing...

    HA! tracy mclady! nice.

yeah, when i was a kid i loved t-mac, i thought he was great, and he was, but know he's just given up on himself, his fans, and now his team. its actually a little sad to see a guy like him do this, ah, whatever, the nba can really suck sometimes.

if tmac doesnt turn shit around he knows this is it for him. there will be people outside his house throwing massive tanks, yes i said massive tanks, at his house and watch him and his family burn down slowly IF HE WASTES HIS 22 MIL HE GETS THIS SEASON. theres a reason hes gettin paid that much.

im just saying, id really like to see tmac at least make his open jumpshots. 2nd half of the season tmac should be ballin. till then... :(

Fuck, he'll be alright! I can't wait till the 2nd half of the season. We always do good 2nd half! If we can stay healthy and consistently have Yao/Mac/Artest/Battier playing together, there is no doubt that we'll go as far as the conference championship, if not the Finals. Yes i said it!

wafer should be starting till tmac gets back into his game. wafer could knock down jumpers a lot better than tmac can right now. gotta cahnge the gameplan instead of losing stupid ass fucking games. playing golden state today, they played the hornets yesterday so they should be tired.

tmac has to hurry the fuck and and stop w/ these injuries. is he even playin today after that high ankle sprains? fuckin a, wat is this bs?

I think T-Mac should take a year or two off! Just rehab and rest his body! What's with the injuries anyway? Is it cos of basketball related activities? or is he just really unlucky?
