I guarantee you that if you took a vote around the league as to which center ( Deron Williams or Greg Oden) a coach would rather start a team around, it would be 29-1 in favor of Oden (Utah's not going to pick Oden, even though deep down they know the truth)
Did I not call this 3 days ago. LOL. I knew Jazz fans would have a melt down over Deron not making it. Deron is a great player. He has started out slow this year with his injury and there fore did not deserve to make it. One thing the guy was right about and that's he will take it personal. He usually owns Chris Paul in head to head match ups because of his competitive nature. The Blazers need to double him tomorrow and shut him down. This game is worth two games. We need to split with them on the tie breaker. Blake needs to be ready to help just in case of foul trouble. Other than Harpring the Jazz are soft this year., but they can score. We need to pull out all the stops and win this one.
As a Jazz fan, I'm not upset at all about Deron not making it this season. Paul Millsap was more deserving. Even Deron himself said he's all right with it. He simply just doesn't deserve it this season. Though that's not really his fault, he got injured and came back when he wasn't even close to 100% and his game suffered. As a result, Deron's stats on the season are underwhelming and misleading. His FG% is way down, as he couldn't drive the way he usually could and he just wasn't getting the elevation on jumpers he's capable of. Not to mention no Boozer for assists. But if you look at his stats for January, it's safe to say he's truly back now. He's previously lead his team in the WCF and made the All NBA Second Team last season, I'm expecting him to really dominate from now on. That when a team has major injuries to key players they don't play as well as they can?
I'd actually argue that its not that debatable that Roy is the superior player this year/right now. I think that Roy has put himself in a borderline top 10 players in the NBA category this year (which is usually what I go by... how a player plays over the span of a current NBA season and don't really pay to much attention to last year when arguing how good a player is right now).
