Chop up some vegetables (onions, carrots, celery, bell peppers, bok choi (sp?), leeks, mushrooms--whatever you have) and throw them in an oiled wok or deep fry pan with garlic and ginger. Cut them so they are all about the same length and thickness so they cook evenly. If you are using carrots you can put them in first and cook them for a minute before putting everything else in, unless you like them snappy. Add soy sauce and thai chili sauce to taste. When the veg is 3/4 cooked take it off the heat so it will still have some crunch. At his point I usually throw in can of whole tuna (because I don't eat a lot of meat) but you can incorporate beef, pork, tofu or chicken. I usually make this once or twice a week because it is super fast, mostly healthy, and pretty tasty. Thai chili sauce is getting more popular and you can find it in the Asian section of most supermarkets. You can put this over brown or white rice too if you make it a little more saucy.

Fry up 4 turkey burgers in a frying pan, then pour in 2 cans of turkey gravy and heat for about 10-15 minutes (simmer). Optionally 1 small can of mushrooms.

1 cup white rice and 2 cups water in a sauce pan with a lid on it. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to just enough (very low) to keep it steaming. 20 minutes later, it's done.

I like to serve with a bag of frozen vegetables steamed.

Cheap and easy salisbury steak, and not very high in calories, yet nutritional and filling. Feeds two for well under $10.

You stay safe for the next three weeks, buddy!

I cannot express my deepest respect for your service.

    Another easy recipe:

Season 4 bonless/no skin chicken breasts with salt and pepper and a little poultry seasoning and put them in a glass baking dish. Cover with one can of cream of mushroom soup and one can of cream of chicken soup. Cover the baking dish with tin foil, put in preheated oven at 325 degrees for 40 minutes.

Make rice and veggies as above. Rice takes ~ 25 minutes, so start it about 15 minutes after the chicken is put in the oven. Start the veggies about 30 minutes after the chicken is put in the oven.

With rice, do not ever take the lid off until done. You can also use 1 can chicken broth and a little bit of water and poultry seasoning instead of all water. Make sure you measure it and it's exactly 1 cup of rice and 2 cups of liquid or the rice will not turn out.

I happen to like brussels sprouts with the gravy on top. And generally dishes with some sort of gravy.

In keeping with speeds' recipe, this one is relatively easy and tastes great.

Chop up about 1 1/2 lbs of chicken breast (skinless, boneless) into even sized cubes or strips. Slice onion and green pepper as long slices. Dice 2 jalapeno peppers (3 or more if you like really spicy food!). Heat about 1/4 cup of olive oil in a wok or frying pan. Stir fry the jalapenos, onion and green pepper until the onion is mostly cooked. Throw in the chicken and stir fry until it's about 3/4 cooked - should not look raw on any sides. Pour in 2 cans of lite coconut milk and simmer for 10 minutes. Chop up 1/2 head of cabbage and stir it in. Stir in about 1/2 cup of brown sugar (more to taste). Toss in a couple handful of peanuts. Heat another 5 mintues until the cabbage is cooked but not 100% wilted. Optionally, throw in some bean sprouts or other green/crunchy stuff. Then stir in a box of this:

Heat and stir until thick, maybe 2-2 minutes. Use the hot flavor if you like it spicy food.

Make sure you start the rice first, it'll finish at the same time the curry is done.

Serve the curry over the rice.

It's hot (curry, jalapenos) and sweet (coconut milk and brown sugar) at the same time. Delicious!

to impress a girlie, try searing a giant scallop some time.

put a couple large scallops in a bag with salt, pepper, and a spice that you like. you can also add a tablespoon of flour , it gives it a little crust if thats what you like. and shake shake shake it.

get a non stick pan red hot with a tablespoon of butter and a tablespoon of olive oil. sear for 1 and a half minutes each side. dont burn/overcook whatever you do, keep it in the oil.

throw some greens in the pan after you take out the scallops, for literally 5 seconds, just enough to grease em up with some flavor. also add some halved grapes and some lemon juice.

    put the scallops on top.

you can also make a wine sauce with some mushrooms, if you like that better.

    watch those panties drop.
