That looked terrible, actually. Kobe's head drove the knee in the wrong direction, against the joint, and Kobe fell on Bynum's foot, planting the leg so the knee took all the shock. That could easily be a torn ligament. Wow, what awful luck for Bynum.
I don't see how anyone could say that doesn't look serious.... guys don't scream in pain like that for no reason. I would be shocked if it isn't a serious tear. Bad luck for Bynum. I hope he gets well.
x rays negative...which doesnt mean much It looked bad period. FYI Redd walked off the court after tearing TWO ligaments in his knee
Yeah, a broken bone would have probably been a non-disastrous result. It's the results of a scope to examine the interior that will matter.
reactions after the incident are not great indications of severity of the injury. oden SUDDENLY required a microfracture surgery without anybody knowing why. he probably just overreacted. i pray bynum gets back up healthy soon.
At least you have your Blazers fan status to fall back on during these tough times. Hope the mri comes back ok.
Sorry DaRizzle. As much as I dislike the L@kers, I always liked Bynum and really hope this is just a short term injury. Best wishes for his recovery. Either way, you guys will still be a contender this year, and Oden and Bynum will be battling in the paint for many, many years.
This sucks. If the Lakers succeed or fail, I want them to do it with a full squad. That said, even if Bynum is out for the season, they already know that they can get all the way to the Finals and win two games without him.
I just dont want to lose in the finals against the C's.....ANYTHING but that. First round exit is better if I KNEW the alternative was losing to the C's in the finals
there was no way he would have been suspended two games...obviously the league at worst would have only given him one
