I could understand a griz fan feeling that way . . . I'm guessing a "fuck everybody" is even more appropriate feeling given their season.

No need to f___ Memphis. They f___d themselves - many times over. They are are irrelevant. They have the worst GM in the league, the cheapest owner, and the longest losing streak. What could we do to them that could possibly be worse than what they've already done to themselves?

It is. That being said, partying at the Raiford's Hollywood is a kick-ass time.

Yes, it is. Thanks for stating the obvious. Portland consistently ranks at, or near, the top of all sorts of "Best Cities" lists (most sustainable, greenest, fittest, best architecture, etc.).

No. 6, "Fittest Cities in America" - Men's Fitness (February 2009)

    No. 1, "Most eco-friendly big cities in America" - SustainLane.com (September 2008)

No. 5, "Top 10 Cities for Design in America" - BusinessWeek / RMJM Hillier (July 2008)
Platinum-level Bicycle Friendly Community designation (one of only two cities in the United States to currently hold this rating) - League of American Bicyclists (May 2008)

No. 25 "World's Most Livable Cities" (one of only two U.S. cities listed) - Monocle (UK-based magazine)

No. 2 "Top 25 Green Cities in America" - Country Home (March 2008)

    No. 5 "America's 10 Cleanest Cities" - Forbes.com (March 2008)

No. 1 "Greenest City in America" — Popular Science (February 2008)

No. 1 "Best Cities in America in which to Have a Baby" — Fit Pregnancy magazine (February/March 2008)

No. 5, "Fittest Cities in America" - Men's Fitness (February 2008)

2008 Distinctive Destination (one of 12 cities chosen in the United States) — National Trust for Historic Preservation (February 2008)

"Top 10 Cities for Independent Moviemakers" — MovieMaker Magazine (Winter 2008)

Top 10 Cities to Beat / "Portland: Leader of the New Urbanism" — BusinessWeek (January 2008)

    No. 1, Cityscape / No. 1, "Environmental Awareness" - CNN/Travel + Leisure (October 2007)

No. 2, "10 Greenest Cities in America" - MSN.com City Guides

Portland ranks first in nation for biking to work: The U.S. Census Bureau finds that more people bike to work in Portland than any other city in the United States. More info.

America's "Best Eating Destination" — The Food Network (April 2007)

    No. 2, Cooking Light's 20 Best Cities Awards — Cooking Light (January-February 2007)

One of the World's Top Travel Destinations for 2007 — Frommer's Guidebooks/Frommer's.com (January)

In terms of livability, Memphis can't hold a candle to Portland. But, don't feel bad, few place can.

After the Pau Gasol gift, I don't see how Lakers fans could ever get mad at Memphis. And do we even know the extent of Bynums injury yet?

And also to echo what's already been said, yes Memphis is a shithole, and Portland is a MUCH nicer place to live. Though the rain fucking sucks :(
