And Phoenix is an actual NBA team we beat on their turf. Nice They're playing a pretty fair amount of Deng as the 4 lately, and that seems to be helping him a fair amount.
Actually they did it for another stretch in the fourth, but I think it had more to do with foul trouble than any kind of master plan.
It has been nice. For the moment, everyone is healthy and playing up to expectations more or less. We also seem to have settled on a rotation. We'll see how long it lasts.
Who's minutes are going to be taken when Gooden comes back? Noc is already down to <20, which is about right if you ask me. Gray has been getting about 10, and Tyrus and Noah have been playing pretty well in their minutes. Gooden is a 30 minutes a night kind of guy. Maybe Noc is traded to the C's by then.
It is a little scary to see this compared to the threepeat I'd guess it's Tyrus. Gray goes back to zero and Tyrus gets shaved. Noah, aside from that horror show Corey Benjamin foul out in 10 minutes game a few weeks back, has looked active and is rebounding well. Tyrus is significantly better than he has been but he still seems wildly variant game to game. Or even in the same game. On the other hand, sending Tyrus to the bench might send him in a funk. I dunno. I think Gooden could be out for longer than is being speculated. Ab strains are tricky, and he seems to have a variety of minor stuff. Maybe they'll keep him out till a couple games before the trade deadline.
Very possibly... I don't have the time to look it up at the moment, but KC rather loosely used the words "Gooden" and "degenerative" in the same article a while back. Gooden came back sense, but I wonder if that wasn't a slip of the toungue.
