He'd be a great addition. But would he really put us over the top this year if added mid-season?

If not, we can simply wait until the offseason and wait until he becomes a FA. I'm sure we will have enough space to sign him even with Darius' salary on the books (of course, we'd probably have to waive Frye and Diogu).

I suppose if he agreed to resign for cheaper before a trade was made, it would be worth it.

Money isn't the matter here. It's more the fact that we'd be losing a valuable asset in Raef's contract for only a marginal improvement.

Yeah, true, plus Miller is kinda on the old side, is he really worth it? The blog says it would do to Portland what Chauncy did for Denver, but i doubt the impact would be that great.

A good, veteran point guard would be nice, but I wonder what Miller would cost. He's still a great passer and he's been an efficient scorer this season. He even rebounds well for his position. But he's 32, so I wouldn't want to give up much since he's just a temporary solution.

I really don't think PG is our area of weakness..I'd like a SF like Wallace so Batum can play off of the bench.

Yeah, Miller is not as good as Billips. He might be as good a floor leader and passer, but he's a worse scorer and defender.

I'd probably rather not deal for him. In the off-season, instead of one max contract (considering there isn't likely to be a star available), maybe Portland could sign two lower-level players, like Miller and Childress.

Not going to happen. The different beat writers have all said that, if KP moves Raef's contract, it's for a big-time difference-maker. And Miller doesn't fit that mold.

Besides, the rumor is devoid of all specifics. If something was being discussed, you would think that would include Portland's outgoing players.

Interesting. I wonder who the SF is. Could Thad Young be the sweetener Quick mentioned? Iggy is the only other SF on that roster.

Miller is an upgrade and a nice stop gap until Bayless is ready.

I just remembered Quick saying the Blazers were talking to an Eastern team for a Pg and SF, could they be the team? Iggy or Young?!?

I wonder if this is similar to what JQ was saying? Discussions with 6ers for AM and Iggy?

This does not excite me at all. I suppose if KP could find nothing else for RLEC, then I would be OK with a fairly straight across trade, but thats about it. It would be different if he had a couple years on his contract and were 3 years younger, but now, I am not even sure if he is an upgrade at all.

However, if Iggy or Young were involved, I would be more impressed.

Landing either of those SFs seems like a pipe dream.

Iguodala is as likely to be moved as Caron Butler. He's an excellent young player, Philadelphia really has no motivation to move him.

    Miller/Marshall for LaFrentz/Outlaw/sergio

My best guess. I'd actually like adding Miller.
