Face it, 1996 is the best draft ever. Beats 1984, 2003, and every other draft year. Amazing amount of talent came out of this draft, Truly crazy and unbelievable.(I'm changing it around from Inside Stuff, although I am taking into consideration there whole career, not just today.)Player (Slam Rating)1. Allen Iverson(1)2. Kobe Bryant(2)3. Ray Allen(3)4. Steve Nash(5)5. Jermaine O'neal(6)6. Stephon Marbury(4)7. Antoine Walker(7)8. Peja Stojakovic(9)9. Marcus Camby(10)10. Shareef Abdul-Rahim(8)11. Zydrunas Ilgauskas(11)12. Derek Fisher(12)13. Kerry Kittles(13)14. Erick Dampier(14)15. Tony Delk(17)16. Jeff McInnis(18)17. Lorenzen Wright(15)18. JYD Williams(19)19. Shandon Anderson(21)20. Walter McCarty(22)21. Moochie Norris(23)22. Malik Rose(16)23. Othella Harrington(20)24. Samaki Walker(24)25. Vitaly Potapenko(25)
1996 is probably the most selfish draft class ever as well. I hope the 2003 class lives up to it's potential, it could rival 1996. I was not sold on 1996 as being the best draft ever but now that Nash is doing so well it makes it harder to doubt. LeBron James, Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony, David West, Josh Howard, Mo Williams, Kirk Hinrich, Luke Ridnour, Darko Milicic, and Chris Kamen could make a run at it. They are still babies in NBA terms.
Jordan and Hakeem hands down make 84 the greatest draft ever, You have the greatest perimeter player of the modern era and greatest big man of the Modern era, not to mention Stockton also. I dont care if Darko Milicic is the 4th best player to come out of it, just with those 3 players it has to be the best.
