Przy did that tonight defensively on West, and Outlaw got more than "hustle points" down the stretch.

A 30-17 team needs to trade an explosive offensive player off of the bench for an undersized PF? Wonders never cease...

You were blocked a long time ago, sir. Nothing personal, but your posts make this forum less fun to visit, thus the blocking. :dunno:

I'm not entirely sure how or why you are responding directly to my posts if you blocked me, but whatever.

Trade Outlaw for Turiaf! Is that better? It's OK to not have all of the answers, Nate. I understand that some people can't handle differing opinions, however, so if your ego is propped up by blocking those that poke holes in your theories on improving the team, so be it. I mean no harm; I'm just here to cheer for the Blazers.

He'd look great sitting next to Frye on the bench, wouldn't he?

I can view individual posts. Rest assured, you're still blocked.

With that said, I never proposed an Outlaw for Turiaf trade in this thread. I did ask what it would take to get him, though.

The reason why you are blocked has nothing to do with your opinions and everything to do with how you present them. There are other posters on this forum that I disagree with, and whom I have traded PM's with, but they are not blocked. You are an unpleasant person, thus the blocking.

Outlaw is an up-and-down player. That tonight is an "up" night doesn't influence whether I'd want to trade him or not in the least.

Give him a bit of a chance in the first 3 quarters, keep him in if he's stroking it. If not, don't push it and put him back in in the 4th for 3-5 minutes and see how it goes. If he's firing on all cylinders, play him 'til the end of the game, if not, take him out before he becomes too much of a liability.

The truth is unpleasant at times. I know this and can handle that without blocking people or even insulting who they are as a person if they don't agree with my criticisms or praises of a current Blazer. Tear apart my opinion of the team or a player if you want, but it isn't fair to insult me personally.

    Maxiell for Webster? Maybe
Maxiell for Outlaw? Are you really being serious here?

i would probably trade outlaw for maxiell if webster comes back healthy, and has atleast a little improvement over last year. we probably wont know that till after the trade deadline, so maybe i'd do outlaw for maxiell in the offseason.

Who isn't an up-and-down-player outside of All-NBA players? Plus, Outlaw has been solid very good in this five game streak.

Again, there is way too much of a negative focus on a role player. I'm not saying you are being negative here, Ed, but I mean in general.

He's better than Maxiell, and I don't think he's "so good". I just don't think he's so terrible.

Maxiell sits on his ass for Detroit. What makes him effective in Portland that is worth giving up an unguardable offensive player?

Stats really don't tell the story for a lot of players, and it's certainly true for Max.

So floundering Detroit is sitting Maxiell as some sort of secret weapon to unleash for the playoffs?

Rebounding isn't a problem for the Blazers, and Maxiell is undersized as a defender. :dunno:

The one thing about Travis is he's the only guy other than Brandon who can isolate and create his own shot. I think it's important to have a guy like that come off our bench. Maybe Jerryd will be that guy eventually but right now he's not yet, and Travis is our best offensive reserve weapon.
