I've got to say it's Kobe Bryant. Some people think he is as good as Jordan. Sure he is a good scorer and a good defender but he has yet to prove anything on his own or make the playoffs without Shaq. And part of the reason he scores so much is beause he shoots the ball way too much. I know that his team isn't that talented but if you were great like Jordan then you would be able to form chemistry and make some use of it. I don't know I just think way too many people think he is a top 5 player when he retires. I don't believe he will be top 20.
Over at my school is Ray Allen.Whenever I go to school they're talking about him 24/7 and how hes going to win the champ. and the MVP.I just say it's a bunch of bs.
To those who think Kobe can actually compete with Michael Jordan, Kobe is the most overrated. Kobe isn't close to Michael, and most likely never will be. However msot people aren't dumb enough to think that...Most people however have a general consensus that Shaq is still a top 5 player today. People still think he is that dominant force from LA. People don't realize that Dwayne Wade is now clearly the leader of that team, and Shaq is playing a secondary role. He is scoring less, and teams are actually playing him with single coverage now. Shaq is being vastly overrated these days
Also Yao Ming gets overrated because he gets the most votes in the ASG every year. But that is just China that is overrating him because he is from China.
I was gonna say Yao, but since that's taken I think it would have to be... nevermind, I'll stick with Yao. He doesn't deserve top vote getter. It's not that he's the best, just the most popular worldwide.
Tim Duncan obviously, He's a great leader and as far as valuability he amongst the greatest ever, but many compare him to being better then David Robinson? A player who dominated Ewing,Shaq,and Hakeem.How come Robinson's leadership is questioned because he never won a ring without Tim Duncan, but Magic is the greatest leader ever when he never won a ring without Kareem? :g:

Whats up with you? Anyway, I would rather have Brad Miller and Camby then Yao, Yao can score in the post but Brad and Marcus or tough inside presences when Yao is too timid. Although you seemed like you were having your period, it was a very valid point. However, Yao is not underrated. Around the league he is known as a soft player who will never live up to potential, and will inconsistently average 20 and 9. Is anything about that conseption false? Absolutely not.
Stephon Marbury is verrry overatted by Knicks fans and Knicks management (Isiah Thomas once said the three best PG's of all time are Magic, Thomas and Marbury)..Marbury also overattes himself callin himself the best PG in the name and chosing to call himself "Starbury"...
Yup, I remember it being mentioned on a broadcast after he recently became a Knick and things were still going reasonably for the club..Gotta love Isiah Thomas and his statements (Francis and Marbury are the modern day Thomas/Dumars)...He also agreed with Marbury's best PG in the league comments (since then their record is abysmal), and this November in an interview with Stephen A.Smith on Quite Frankly, Marbury stated he still believes he is an elite PG and felt he was better than Kidd. Kidd, normally a queit and reserved individual with the media, lashed back out at Marbury saying if they played one-on-one Kidd would beat him in every aspect of the game..
