Dude, their next game is Sunday. I'm sure the old dudes can live with a back to back game against a team they're fighting with once they realize they have four full days of rest until the next game.

So Pop gets them some cheap extra rest in what would have been a pretty tough game anyway. This was the 2nd night of a back-to-back, by the way.

Yes. And someone posted something that I wholeheartedly agreed with, and I repped said person to show my approval.

    Problem is what?

Well, since you are wrong, plenty, but I've learned that arguing with a mod on here is a losing proposition no matter what the truth is, so I'll end my participation in this thread. Enjoy your circle jerk.

they played an OT game at near sea level in Golden State last night and are playing in mile high Denver tonight. Duncan is 33, Manu 32, and Parker is just 26. I don't know if its age so much as just not wanting to subject their key players to too much. Pop might have some interesting things to say after the game about the scheduling

btw... it's a 2 point game with 9 minutes to go

He's wrong because he doesn't agree with your opinion? Gimme a break.

Really, what underhanded motivation would the Spurs have? Manu is hurt, and they had a long night last night, and wanted to give Tim and Tony the night off. If it was Minnesota, you wouldn't give a shit, so don't whine just because we want that half game. Does it suck? Yeah. Are they doing something wrong? No.

I'm pretty sure it's the coach's choice, not the fans on when to rest players. This is like tweaking out for subbing a player out, only in a different capacity.

I know when I pick the games I attend, I think about the opponents and the stars I want to see play.

I would be pissed if I was a paying customer and I didn't get to see Duncan, Parker and Manu becuase they needed "rest."

And that's why the league will look at this very carefully.

Would be hilarious (and a bit scary) if the Spurs win anyway.

I would be pissed too, but a team has every right to sit there players for whatever reason they want to. Maybe they are just tired, who knows.
