Kevin Love- 16 points and 14 rebounds in his first start in a while, then they took him out to end the game, which really hurt us. That was the first move by McHale that I have really strongly disagreed with. Tough loss.
I was listening to the game on NBA radio....and I was wondering the same thing! While Big Al was sitting out, Love was killing the boards and tipped back in three misses. I was really irritated when he took Love out and didn't put him back in. You would think with the game so close he would want someone, who had 9 offensive rebounds at the time, like Love in the game for the extra touches. Not that Big Al wasn't doin his thing on the boards, but Atlanta was noticably getting more rebounds as soon as Love hit the bench. This is one I just didn't either, Tim..... But on a bright note...it was nice that Miller and McCants stepped it up like they did with 'Sota down by 17 (?) . If anything, this was a nice lil showcase of what they can do (even more so for McCants) to other teams wanting to make a deal for them come 19 Feb!
This game was further evidence that we have more issues in the backcourt than in the frontcourt. Our starting guards go 4-15, no way can we win with that.
