Chris Paul is out (briefly) and Nelson is likely out for the year. Hinrich would be valued b/c he could take the full time job now and play some combo later. Do you think he is on the block?

I would be overjoyed with a Hinrich and Noch departure and really gear up for 2010 fa.

If the magic or hornets had something in the way of cap relief or talent to trade it'd be worth moving. At this point both of those teams have to get a third team involved. Who are those teams going to offer that would be interesting to the bulls?

I'd like Tony Battie as a veteran backup big with a 2010 friendly contract.

Why are people so quick to trade Hinrich? And why are we really worrying about 2010? I think our best chance of landing a big name would be Bosh probably. Wade is staying in Miami, Lebron isnt coming to Chicago, and I cant really think of anymore 2010 FA.

    How's about this:
I don't know if the Magic would pull the trigger on this, but there's a lot of speculation Hedo will opt out and want a bigger and longer contract, which the Magic may or may not be willing to give. Perhaps they cash him in for Kirk and Noc?

Bulls trade: Kirk, Noc, Thabo, Gray
Magic trade: Hedo, Battie, Cook, Johnson, Reddick

I don't think this is any sort of knockout trade, but it gets us something we need in the form of 2010 cap relief. We wipe Kirk and Noc off the books. Battie and Cook are veterans and solid backups who could help when Gooden walks.

Hedo is a valuable player, but I'd guess we end up letting him walk, though he's versatile enough that he could be like a good version of Noc. Still an iffy proposition, and we're a trainwreck full of logjams as far as minutes. We're really do well to package up some guys and move them out.

I could see the Magic doing it though.
    1- Nelson,
    2- Kirk
    3- Pietrus
    4- Lewis, Noc
    5- Howard

Is... interesting I guess. OK... I don't find it that interesting. I don't find the magic interesting much at all.

I want to trade him because he's too good to be Derrick Rose's backup, and I don't see a lot of logic to playing them together.

The logic is that the Rose / Hinrich backcourt is the best one the bulls have. The other alternatives aren't getting the bulls anywhere and Rose is regressing playing next to BG.

I'd rather try to trade BG, if Rose is regressing playing next to him. But we need some inside help, and bad. And Joe Johnson would be an helluva upgrade to BG lol.
