I don't mean in terms of being a bad player just who was the least greatest player to win MVP during the player's whole career. Please don't count guys that havn't finished their careers yet.I'll go with Mel Daniels. He was a good rebounder and he scored 22 ppg consistantly but he didn't have a long career and he never really tipped the scales in terms of points. If you need to see all the MVP's click hereEDIT: Maybe this should go in the Old School section. Can someone move this?
technically, Mel's doesn't count bc he wasa in the ABAWes Unseld. His highest ppg avg. was 16, and all he could really do was rebound.
Bob Cousy, it came down to lack of talent of the 50s. Who was there at that time? An aging George Mikan and him? He was never an amazing passer, shooter or defender, and other then some dribbling moves was nothing special. I actually watched a few games of him recently, and it's embarassing many people consider him a top 5 PG alltime. The talent of players he played agaist would make Shawn Bradley look like Hakeem Olajuwon.
How about Bill Walton in 1978, he plays in 58 games and averages just 18.9 points. His rebounding and assist numbers are nice (13.2 and 5) but come on.
