<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>After losing the All Star game Tracy McGrady spoke about giving the fans what they want to see and that's not Tim Duncan backing someone down, calling the big man's game 'boring.'</div> I agree with Tracy, Tim Duncan shouldn't be in the All-Star game. Why do the fans vote for him. He is a boring player. It seems like when he's playing he just <Censored> himself. I'd rather see someone else in the all-star game like Carmelo Anthony besides that no good Tim Duncan.

Tim Duncan is a great basketball player and if you don't like him or his style go watch some flashy SG lead his team to a .500 record or watch streetball.

Listen, what is your guys problems? Did you actually find the first half of this years All Star game entertaining? Did you find the overall game entetaining. What is so exciting about defenses standing there, and allowing countless lob passes to be thrown up in hopes of a dunk, that are seen countless times per week? What is so exciting about it? I don't get it?What is exciting, as Tim Duncan being bodied up by Shaquille O' Neal, spinning into the lane, getting him in the air with a pump fake and finishing off the three point play with a dunk. What's exciting is Kobe Bryant pulling the tips of his shorts up, getting down and playing some defence, only to see LeBron James execute a perfect jab step and hit a 17 footer in his eyeI want to see talent! A one handed dunk in traffic, with the players going all out, is more exciting than a meaningless windmill, because it makes me say:"Wow! Those guys are good"There's a reason those And 1 players play And 1 basketball. They suck. All they can do is exucute tricks, and plays where the defence and rules of the game are weak, and altered. There's a reason the 2003 All Star game is widely considered to be the best ever: The 1st Q, 3rd Q, 4th Q, and 1st OT were all palyed hard, and it showed just how good the palyers were. I wanna say "Wow, he's good." I wanna say, "This is competition" I don't wanna sit there seeing stuff I see all the time. If you honestly think guys making open dunks is that exciting, you need to go and pick up the cheapest And 1 tape at your local Pawn Shop.

Duncan is a great player but so what if he isn't interesting to watch. I stick with the mavs because I hate the spurs but realize what a talent Duncan is and will give the spurs their credit.

It depends what you find boring and what you find exciting. If you like good post moves and solid post defense, rebounds and blocks then you will find his game exciting. If you like alley-oops, dunks, posterizations, 3 pt shots then you will find his game boring. Personally I think he is pretty boring to watch but that doesn't matter because he is probably the most efficient player in the League. And any fan who likes watching good basketball will like him.

Who cares if hes boring? The fact is he is a very well rounded, fundamental player that gets the job done night in and night out. He is a proven winner and is a great leader for his team leading them to succesfull seasons year after year..

They are not exciting.

Either way, its two points, and although its not as exciting, its solid, effective basketball. Id rather have a winner than a flashy player..

He gets the job done night after night, even injured. When hes injured he still requires a couple of guys to guard him, as he can still dominate.

I don't think it has to be flashy to be exciting, but i do enjoy guard play more than post play. I'd rather see an incredible shot fall than a nice post move. I guess that also comes with me being a guard.

Why do people take offense to this. He's not particularly entertaining. He's extremely fundamentally sound and a great player at both ends of the court but is he ever on SportsCenter's top ten? No. Is his name ever heard on NBA action. No. To those of us who are not Spurs fans, the guy is a bit boring. I'm sure I'd have a different point of view if I was a Spurs fan. But even if I disagreed with it, I wouldn't care. The guy has three rings and counting. The bling bling dont lie.

I ain't a Spurs fan, if you knew anything, I'm a Mavs fan. I'm just tired of you playing off the win when you know they beat us fair and square.

Personally I dont find him boring. He isnt flashy, but he is very solid and very fundamental..I love his bank shot that he can hit from all angles..

If boring means championships, then I'll take 12 of the most boring players in the league on my team. Sure Duncan isn't the most entertaining, but he is a winner. And he's one of the best players in the league. So whether you are entertained by him or not, he deserves to be at the All-Star game, because he is without a doubt one of the stars of the league.

Usually teams want to see alley-oops and fancy play so I'm a little surprised that Tim started over KG in the ASG. I'm sorry but Duncan just doesnt fit into the tempo of the All-star game.
