This is just to relive some of the classic events that happened in the NBA. Share your fondest basketball memories in here..i.eI remember when...
I remember the first time watching Tracy McGrady. It was when he posterized Kornel David of the Chicago Bulls.
I remember Kobe lobbing to Shaq and not even being able to hear Marv Albert's voice over the crowd.I remember Shaq fouling out in the finals, and a cocky 21 year old taking over in the 4th and OT, culminated by hitting a fallaway with less then a half minute left to put LA aheah, then gesturing with his hand, "calm down, i got this"I remember Shaq carrying Kobe into the arena after Bryant sprained his ankle in that series.I remember Fisher hitting 3 ball after 3 ball after 3 ball against San Antonio as the Lakers swept their WCF.I remember Kobe driving to the lane and dishing it to the open Horry for the 3, the win, and the sweep of the Blazers in the opening round of the 2002 playoffs.I remember Horry hitting yet another 3 point GW against Sacramento that same year.I remember watching Game 7 of that series against Sacramento, as the Kings choked big time on their homecourt.I remember the threepeat.
I remember trying a fadeaway 3 pointer off a bad pass because the game clock was at 1.2 seconds left in the half and making it. The only 3 pointer i have ever tried.I remember when Donyell tied the 3 point recordI remember driving down the court off a steal to make a layup, putting us 1 pont ahead but yet just to have the other team drill a 3 pointer to win the game. I was so dissapointed. I thought I would have the game-winning shot. Something I have dreamed about for a while now.
Ya know what I remember? Gilbert Arenas hitting the game-winning jumper with 2 hands in his face in Game 5 in the 1st round of the 2005 playoffs against the Chicago Bulls, resulting to dead silence in the United Center.
My fondest memories, NBA:-Reggie Miller hitting the fadeaway 3 from halfcourt beating the buzzer to send them and Nets to OT (2002 playoffs, 1st round, Game 5)-Nets raping Pistons in Game 5 of 2004 playoffs, round 2. Went to 2OT, but Nets prevailed. Only team that year to push Detroit to Game 7.-Seeing T-Mac rip up the league simnilar to Kobe this year. 32PPG in 2002-2003/- :nasty: -Rockets vs. Dallas, Game 2 last year. T-Mac kills Dallas all game, doesn't let JVG take timeout, hits GW shot.-More recently, NJ vs Miami, Vince Carter over Zo. Insane.Again, there are so many more that I am forgetting. Some of my own memories:-Scoring 48 points in 1 game in 7th grade.-Game winning shot (well, some guy missed shot i ran and jumped over the other players and got a tip in) last year-Selected to central NJ all star game in 8th grade-Dunking over a 6'3'' friend on 9ft hoop (I am 5'9'')Again, so many more....
