    A little background
When I was about 8, I was playing with a friend and my dog in the front yard of my luxurious mansion. My friend threw the ball in my direction, but I was looking at my mom who had called me from the front door. Well, to make it short, the the dog crashed into my knees...more so, my left knee. I went down in a massive amount of pain, my left knee had dislocated and slid back into place, and there was immediate swelling. After about 10 minutes or so, the pain was gone but it was still sore a hell. The swelling had subsided, and I had a little limp. That is when Mamba learned how to PIMP WALK.

Anyways, from time to time, my left knee will slip out of place and I'll collapse in pain because it hurts so bad. One time it happened to me at school and I blacked out, the pain was so severe. I've had my knee examined and X-rayed, and it is because of my bone structure. My knees bend too far back and are susceptible to dislocating. Thankfully it'll only dislocate for a second, and slide back into place. Basically, my knee cap doesn't sit perfectly in the groove that it is supposed to, it sits more to the outside.

It sucks, and it happened again today for the first time in about a year and a half. I was at the gym doing some leg workouts, and BOOM! It fucking dislocated worse than ever. The pain was so bad and it still hurts now (6 hours later). I can walk, and my knee feels stable again, but the pain is still there with a tiny bit of swelling.

To describe what it feels and sounds like. Just imagine your left knee cap sliding to the left, while the lower half of your leg collapses into the upper part and all you here is crunching sounds and feel a pain shoot through your leg. Then it slides back into place. And there is some swelling, pain, and a limp.

:sigh: I can't imagine what Bynum has gone through.

    :(

Damn that sucks to hear. I hope you get better bro.

The worst injury I ever suffered was a sprained ankle. lol

I don't think you can compare your situation to Bynum's though, he gets an entire medical staff dedicated to him with the best medical treatment available.

Dude, my worst was a sprained ankle. It was SO SWOLLEN. I couldn't walk for a week. Couldn't pressure it for a week. I thought I broke it. The Dr. said that he was surprised that I didnt' snap any ligaments with how bad it was.

    I guess I can't give my knees to Bynum : [

    lol

I sprained my ankle when I was playing basketball. I wasn't able to walk for a week or two, but beyond the initial injury (which didn't hurt that much), I didn't feel any pain at all, unless I tried walking on it.

Holy crap, bro you should chill on those leg squats or whatever you were doing.. They are not meant for people with your previous background.

Hope you have a speedy recovery.

That sounds terrible, hopefully you get some genius to look at you soon so it won't happen again.

The worst I've ever suffered is a rolled ankle, the kind that happens a bunch of times in the NBA when you land on someone's foot. It was just swollen for a few days, no big deal. I also suffered a badly jammed ring finger once, which I described to Lost One already. It turned purpleish then recovered after about a week.

That sucks bro, can't imagine having to deal with that.

My worst injury is what I assume was a sprained ankle. I was playing a game of 2 on 2 back at the beginning of my senior year of high school. I went up for a rebound and landed on someone's foot. The ball of my ankle damn near touched the ground and my leg was still mostly straight. There was a loud pop, my ankle instantly swelled to about 3 times it's regular size and I also ended up with swelling halfway up to my knee, there was also a huge bruise along the arch of my foot. I couldn't really walk on it for a few days, though I did anyways, even though there was massive amounts of pain. The swelling didn't go down for about 2-3 weeks. Oh yea, did I mention that my dumbass didn't go to the doctor about this and didn't tell my parents either?

worst injury, playing a saturday game, which was pretty much just for fun (friday nights and tuesday nights were the big games) im 16 playing in an 18 and over game, so everyone is like 20 Y/O. anyway the team we are playing against i a team full of big huge mauri guys, all of them are rugby players, and im on the fast break, i go for the layup, i think im in the clear, and i move pretty quickly, all of a sudden, in mid shot, this 6'6" mauri with a barrell for a torso and arms thicker than me, crashes into me full speed, and i go flying, and he goes flying with me, the first thing that hits the ground is my left hip. to this day my pelvis is still crooked and my right leg is slightly slightly longer than the left one.

there is a couple others, once i went to catch the ball, it pulled my thumb back and i couldnt use my left hand for a month becaue my thumb would immediatly swell and spasm.

oh and my first game, i had played a bit of basketball as a kid, but never at a high level, then i made it into the top team of my club, in my first game, i grabbed a rebound, i was like 12 or 13 playing against 16 Y/O, anyway came down from the rebound and landed on my heels, i couldnt move my legs that night and had to be carried out of the stadium. none of these injuries have ever realy been explained to me, i think i was a litttle injury prone, but like the next day after landing on my heels i was fine so idk. and my hip, the next day, fine, but after like a few weeks a started to notice pain and swelling. anyway, i was always alot smalller than everyone else and didnt realize it, kinda funny to watch i imagine.

    No surgery.

I have to work my legs out more, but sometimes it hurts too much to work out. I can do cardio no problem, so I do cardio to strengthen.
