looks like a downgrade from the lakers perspective, and the bobcats again adding more and more salary.
This pretty much guarantees that the Lakers won't win the championship. The Spurs will even knock them out in the conference finals. I'm sorry Lakers fans, I can't take a team with Adam Morrison on it seriously.
That's an odd trade. Er, I mean..WHY DIDN'T KP TRADE RAEF HERE! WHAT A BUM!! er..I mean.. That's an odd trade.
Lol this is the reason the Spurs clinch anything? Ah yes the immortal Vlad is gone, who got how many minutes these last few months? Vlad means nothing, he doesn't even play basketball anymore, and LA dumps salary.
Vladrad hasn't been in the rotation since like the first month of the season. This trade doesn't mean anything. Morrison expires after next year, so if anything, it just gives us cap relief. It would've been one thing if Vlad was actually playing basketball, but like I said, he hasn't been in the rotation in forever.
shannon brown might be the best player in this deal........he will give the lakers another wing defender..........
I could see Shannon Brown developing well for them. He just seems like the kind of guy that would blossom somewhere like LA. Let's hope not.
apparently vlad has been seeing zero playing time lately, so you have to love it from a financial standpoint for the lakers. this makes the lakers big men right now even more laughable though. mihm and powell? odom and gasol cant play 48 mpg.
It's not the fact that lost Radmanovic, it's the fact that you brought in Adam Morrison that clinches the Spurs in the finals.
If the Spurs win anything it won't be because of a victory cigar who plays 3 minutes every other game. Morrison isn't leap frogging Ariza or Luke. Morrison doesn't even need minutes for this trade to be a success.
Im sorry but its not a downgrade at all in the big picture. Vlad> Adam if you just want to do it straight up, but the surrounding factors make this a good/great trade for the Lakers. Vlad was getting next to nothing playing time. He started strong this year but then regressed to his same ol self...brain dead defense and very sporatic on the offensive end. It was hinted a little over a month ago that Vlad and Phil were REALLY not seeing eye to eye. He can shoot the 3 above average but with Kobe, Fisher, Farmar, and Sasha the Lakers have plenty of capable 3 point shooters. Luke Walton has been good enough to start for the Lakers while Ariza backs him up. Ariza>>>Walton but it works best to keep Ariza in the 2nd unit this year. Maybe down the line those two roles will flip-flop. This trade will give Ariza those sparce minutes Vlad was getting. Shannon Brown- While all I know about him I learned in the last 15 minutes I like getting him. The Lakers really needed an emergency PG. Lakers really need to reduce Fishers minutes so he isnt worn down when the playoffs roll around which is a major issue with him. Farmar has played well but he was already injured this year. If one of those two go down it puts a MAJOR strain on the rotations. 800k to rectify this problem....sweet A chance to improve- Vlad has maxed out his talents. He is NBA talent but what you see is what you get. If Phil cant make him understand the BASICS of the game then nobody can. On the other hand Morrison, who has had a dismal start to his NBA career might have a chance to flourish(half glass full). He has had some (major) injuries to start his career which cant help. If you look at it with a fresh start you could say if he is gonna "get it" now would be the time in his career that would start. If he can make a 3 then he is already at Vlads ability. You cant get any worse on defense than Vlad I approve
I don't think you quite understand. You have Adam Morrison now. He probably won't play, but your team can never win a championship with him there.
Yes it does...but I dont agree Example: Chris Webber (of course better, but would never be on a championship team)
