Stop with TO comparisons. RJ plays defense, has pretty high BB IQ and takes quality shots in comparison to Travis. TO has to be the most overrated player in Blazer history (with Martell being a close 2nd).

OK, you lost me. Theo Ratliff? He doesn't play for the Blazers, secondly Raef Lafrentz (I assume that's who you are talking about?) for sessions wouldn't work because the salaries are nowhere near to matching.

But if you are saying you think the Bucks would possibly trade Sessions + maybe Jefferson(?), for a huge expiring contract, some draft picks and a few prospects, then If I were the Blazers I'd pull the trigger and not look back -- However, at this point I think Sessions value after tonight's outburst just ticked up several notches.

Yeah RJ played defense in say 2005. Not in 2009.

 I like Travis and Martel but it's complete homerism to think Travis is on the same level as RJ. He would make a huge difference for our team hell for that matter about 1/2 the starting SF's in the league would be an improvement. People underestimate how much a vet would help at SF.

Comparing Outlaw to the current Jefferson isn't meant to be a compliment to Outlaw. Both players are about the caliber of league-average starters with below average defense. People's frustration with Outlaw's variance is causing them to undervalue his average production. And memories of Jefferson's ability a few years ago are causing people to overvalue his average production.

Maybe that's where we use our cap space. If Milwaukee matches, nothing lost for trying. I wouldn't suggest a max contract, but Portland can offer a fair amount and who knows how much the Bucks value Sessions. Adding another very good point guard prospect wouldn't be bad. It makes Bayless a pretty nice trade chip, for example.

This close to the deadline, your quota should be much higher than one a week. :)

His production is improving with Redd out of the Bucks rotation, especially in the department of FT attempts. He's averaging 9.2 FT attempts per game with Redd gone. That's LeBron FT attempt territory.

Athletically, dude hasn't lost much of his step:

    Agreed.

I really like Jerryd's potential, but I think if there were an opportunity to get a guy like Sessions and then package other players (Bayless, et. al.) to get a legitimate wing defender with experience then that is an option that has to be explored in my opinion.

What would be the point of trading Outlaw for Jefferson from a Bucks perspective?

meh... must have been a slow evening for that to have been the dunk of the night. He yelled like he took off from the FT line and threw it down over Yao and Dikembe but really it was pretty pedestrian.

Sessions is underrated as fuck. I don't see how the Bucks could trade him when he plays so well for them. He's a pretty young guy with a ton of promise. If he gets starter minutes, he could be a top PG/SG in the East.

I was saying trade for Sessions since the end of last year and throughout the off-season. I cooled off once we drafted Bayless, but I would probably do Bayless for Sessions straight up, and then add Sergio so we don't have to hear him pout when he doesn't get minutes.

One thing is that I'm not sure how well he would compliment Roy, because I think Roy would accel vs someone with Bayless's skill set more... but I think Roy would have to adjust and learn how to play off the ball more. As it is, this year i've been somewhat disappointed with how much Roy goes 1-on-1 and how much less he has been involving his team this year.
