I'll trade Sergio for Shaun Livingston from Miami. Since Livingston already tried out for us I am willing to give this a shot. Sergio is horrible on defense.

Really? Sergio has a lot more worth than Livingston right now.. Livingston probably won't stick with Miami next year, when you can sign him in the offseason if you want to. And if we get him now, I don't see him making that big of a difference.

Kurt Thomas and Udoka are his suggestion for veteran leadership. Really? I am sorry but he lost me at that point. Does he really think the young guys will stop and listen to them over.......anyone? Did Jones really make a difference when they slumpled in the second half. No doubt he was a help but come on give me better examples. He is grasping at straws here.

it s shocking that not many realize how bad we need a trade. quick gets killed like i do cause the homers dont wanna hear the truth. they enjoy hearing mike barrett tell us how hot the other team is EVERY NIGHT. If you dont realize by now that outlaw and sergio are killing us...then you just dont know basketball.

quick is right on the $$$$ with both article. the good news is....kp knows it and i think realizes we arent making the playoffs with the current roster. i said this in november. you can see outlaw would never in 1000 years be on a title contender. you can see sergio is just a 3rd string nba pg who cant shoot, cant defend and dribbles too much. back in the day damon was killed on here for dribbling too much...how come sergio gets a pass?

MIXUM, if you would only tone down the out of control hyperbole and over the top negativity you might actually have something to say that isn't going to immediately put everyone here off their lunch. Some of us do agree that some modest changes probably need to be made to the roster to balance it out a little bit, but the way you rant and rave makes it hard to do anything but respond negatively.

Letting him go gives us some cap space... taking on an overpaid vet doesn't make sense unless he makes the team markedly better.

I'm ALL FOR making a trade, but a mediocre-to-bad veteran like Ime or Kurt Thomas would be a waste of time.

This team is going to make the playoffs this year but we are (and SHOULD BE) looking two or three seasons down the line much more than we should care about this year. We do NOT need to try to add a band-aid to anything.

People who make stupid comments get killed. No one is saying don't make a trade, just that Jason needs to come up with something better than Udoka. Did you see how well he played today? Oh that's right he never got his ass off the bench.

You're either a homer for not wanting a trade or panicky for wanting one. Too much is put into what happens over the course of a handful of games. Personally, if nothing happens before the trade deadline I won't be upset at all. The point I will agree with, though, is that defense needs to be #1.

We need a savvy vet who plays defense.

Make good trades, avoid bad trades. All the time (when trading is possible).

He has to be more than that or he won't get many minutes. If he is a PG than he has to be able to play D. run the team and hit the outside shot. If he is a SF than he has to play offensive as well as great D or we might as well stay with Batum. The other three positions are all a moot point because he won't play much.

So it still comes back to a savvy vet that can do it all. However in a case like tonight it was the PF (Harrington, Center (Thomas) and freaking Nate Robinson (Who when he is on he is simply on) When a team puts 4-5 guys on the floor that can shoot the three..we are screwed.

There is just not an easy solution.

I want Nash and Hill! Bayless/Outlaw/Blake...

Let Phoenix go downhill a little longer then pounce!

If not I'd do the Frye/Thomas swap (though we'd have to add Shav)
which I've purposed on the board multiple times this season.
