Unfortunately that's how I think Dirk will play against Bowen. I'm thinking Josh Howard will have some big games against San Antonio along with Terry but San Antonio putting Bowen on Dirk along with 2 big man that help on defense makes it really for Dirk to do much. It is hard for Dirk to pass over Duncan or Rasho on a double team also. Dallas though I think can do a good job on Duncan but will struggle guarding Parker.

Well than he blew up the last game he played. He is only a shadow of the player he once was. He peaked in 2002 and has yet reached that level since.
What's ridiculous of that comment? Parker is the one that is making that team so dangerous on offense. Also Ginobili's great game along with Bowen's tenacious defense. Slowing down Duncan isn't impossible but beating the Spurs is a different story since he has so much help. I'm glad you are very optomistic on Duncan but the Spurs won the championship last year without a ton of help from Duncan. Ginobili was thought of as the MVP of the Finals by some.
How many points did Duncan score on Diop last game? That's what I thought. That is why i don't believe you're being serious. Unless you're just an idiot.
Duncan is a great all around player but saying he is unstoppable is way off based. I think there are a handful of players in the league that can slow down Duncan. Kobe though is a different story. I've seen Kobe go off on everyone.
I'm not saing Duncan's unstoppable, and Diop is a good defender. I'm not denying that. However in a seven game series Duncan will find a way to get around diop and dominate him.The great players find away around everything. Is Dirk getting training to know how to back up people 5 inches shorter than him? He desperately needs it.
Dirk does it all the time though it seems he doesn't want to do it. He prefers taking people off the dribble and shoot fadeaway shots. Duncan might dominate Diop but last year in the playoffs it was Ginobili being the one to dominate. I think Duncan is a bit overrated since these last couple of years he is getting tons of help like I said. We'll see how he does though. Rasheed Wallace had some success last year against Duncan so that is why I'm optomistic Diop can do the same.
Duncan's championship in 2003 made him in my mind an alltime great. That was the first time i've actually witnessed one player just absolutely dominate. He did everything, score, rebound, defense, assits. And i see he doesn't like to back down but against washington he couldn't back down Caron butler. I know that is ony play but still it's quite humorous. If he can consistently back down shorter people then there would be no stopping of dirk.
Well as weak as Dirk is in posting I think you could say the same for Duncan taking bigger people off the dribble. He occasionally does it but that is not his strength. Diop has the size to bother Duncan in the post.

The question for the Mavs is: Who guard Tim Duncan? Ducan is a near 20 and 10 player this year, and his been injured the entire year. What happens when this guy gets back into prim shape? Can anyone on the Mavs guard Duncan? Mohhomed and Rasho can't guard him off the dribble, and Dirk would waste too much energy. Add to the fact he's a great passer, with Tony Parker playing better than ever, and how the heck do the Spurs lose to anyone besides Detroit?

The pistons cannot beat the spurs. The spurs will engage in a defensive battle with the pistons and seeing as how the pistons defense has eroded, the spurs win.The only team that can beat the spurs is the dallas mavericks. Other teams are imposters.
The Pistons matchup very well to the Spurs along with the Mavs. Matching up well and beating the Spurs is a totally different story. The Spurs this year are overwhelmed with talent off the bench and starters. It would take the Mavs to be hitting on all cylinders to beat the Spurs. Rasheed is one of those players that can guard Duncan. Billups does well on Parker as well. It was Ginobili last year that the Pistons couldn't stop. The Suns have no defense and nobody that can guard Duncan either. They got Bell though that should help guarding Ginobili and Barbosa could guard Parker when in the game to take pressure off of Nash. The Suns need Amare back at 100% to have a chance and I don't see it.
Rasheed is a better defender than Diop and Ben wallace [man to man defense]. He couldn't slow down Duncan to where duncan didn't have an impact on his team winning. Duncan put up 20-14 on a horrible percentage but he was playing against a good defensive team.
Well Diop will have to prove himself as a defensive stopper more but I like what I've been seeing so far.
