I was watching the top 10 dunks from the dunk contest over the years, and they have an ad up that says "they dunk. you decide." so I'm assuming that the dunk contest will be decided by fans this year. If that's the case, Howard will win no matter what. I don't know why they feel like they need to involve the fans in every aspect of competition, but this is ridiculous. Maybe they should have the fans vote on who wins games next....
They did this last year. Judges' scores determine who advances, then in the final round, fans text or vote on NBA.com for the winner. It is kind of lame, but let's be honest ... the Slam Dunk Contest has been insignificant since the year that VC won. -Pop
