RecapBox ScoreGreat game by the Timberwolves today. It's a shame I couldn't make it, but I was able to listen to it on KFAN. Kevin Garnett dominated the ball game with 23 points, 21 rebounds and 5 assists. If it wasn't for his foul trouble, I think he would have gotten atleast 23-24 rebounds. Maybe he would have even been able to break his career high with 25 in one game. Anyway you slice it, it was a great effort by Garnett and his 9 offensive rebounds were huge in the win.Who else came up big for the Timberwolves? Rashad McCants had quite a few athletic plays and he seemed to be quite active out there. He finished the game with 11 points. I can't say enough about McCants. The guy is really starting to come around. I'm proud of him.We had 6 guys score in double figures today (Garnett, Davis, McCants, Blount, Banks and Hassell) and anytime you do that it's pretty special. The offense was balanced and they were aggressive. The hustle out there kept the team in the ball game. Great game.We even had an Eddie Griffin sighting! How about that? Griffin got into the ball game in the 1st half but never saw time in the 2nd half. I want to see him work his way back into the rotation, but at the same time he has to earn it and take it away from Justin Reed. I don't want him given minutes, he should fight for them.What about Jason Richardson? Holy cow. I thought this guy couldn't shoot? ROLF How in the world does he go off for 36 points with 7 three pointers? He has improved his game so much since he entered the league. He's a fine basketball player.That's basically all I have to say. I hope we can continue to win and close in on Denver and Utah for the Northwest division. I think we can do it, we just have to stay focused and worry about ourselves. If we can string together quite a few wins I think we can put pressure on Denver and Utah, who are practically playing .500 basketball right now.
Why wasnt this game on tv?? two of my favorite basketball teams!but KG must have lit them up, hahah. they were without baron right? if so its not that solid of a win. but at least we are getting closer to denver
ABC has something in their contract that there can be no other NBA games on TV (even local TV) while ABC is showing games. It's really stupid.
