You mean power forwards only? Because if not than Dwight and Yao should be up there IMO.

I'd take Duncan and KG over him still. No argument with Duncan, but KG is a much better defensive player.

    I rank them like this:

    1) Duncan
    2) KG
    3) Bosh/Pau

Maybe Bosh is better, but whenever we play the Raptors, he has NEVER impressed me. Plus I don't watch many Raptor games anyways.

Pau has been terrific lately though, he's showing everyone why the coaches chose him to be an allstar.

I think its Duncan and KG, then Bosh....then maybe Dirk, then Pau then Al Jeff and Amare

    Dirk over Pau?

Pau is severely underrated imo. His footwork, offensive touch, his range on his jumper, his ability to use his left hand, all of it, is incredible. The more I see him play, the more I see why VC used to rave about him.

Pau is good, but I think Dirk is underrated now too. Everyone seems so down on him after dallas got bounced in the first round, but he is so offensively gifted it's not even funny. I'm a huge fan of his. He also has a higher PER than Pau right now

    Forgot about Dirk...

I think Pau is underrated, but Dirk can give you 30 points any given night. I think people forgot about him because Dallas is a shit hole now.

Dirk is a focal point of that offense, he isn't playing behind Kobe. Also, for awhile, Pau was playing third fiddle to Andrew, as well.

Since Bynum went down, Pau has averaged something like 25, 14, and 2.

Good point. Pau has been beasting ever since Bynum went down. But Dirk has consistently been one of the best offensive forward in the league. Let's see if Pau can continue this though, not that I don't think he can. He's been amazing lately, definitely deserves the allstar nod.

gasol is definitely behind duncan, garnett, dirk, bosh, and amare(those 5 in order).

after that it gets trickier. he could conceivably be the next best after the top 5.

Eh, I give him top 3. Behind Bosh, Dirk, and Amare?

He has owned Amare a couple of times, plays Duncan very well, is more complete than Dirk IMO, and I've never been impressed by Bosh when the Lakers play the Raptors.

sorry, but gasol simply isn't in the top 5 power forwards in the league. the 5 i named are clearly better players than gasol.

Thing is, Dirk is more offensively polished than Pau. Despite the talk about Pau's brilliant hands and soft touch, Dirk is still superior offensively.

    On defence, they're pretty similar.
    I'd say:

    Duncan, KG, Bosh/Dirk, Pau

I know Dirk can stroke the three, but can he work the paint like Gasol?

Amare is not clearly better than Gasol, not by any means.

I don't mind Bosh, because I've heard he's a terrific player, it's just that every time I watch him play, he has never impressed me.

That would be your opinion. The only ones I would say are CLEARLY better are Timmy and KG. The rest is debatable. Pau is a superior defender and rebounder in comparison to Dirk. In fact, the only thing Dirk is better than Pau at is shooting the trey. Pau's post game is much, much, much better, and he's just as reliable from mid range. He's also a better passer than Dirk. In fact, I'd venture to say that the only PF that's a better passer than him is Timmy. With Amare, I don't even know if there's a facet of his game that he's better at. He's a piss poor defender, doesn't have a great post game, and for a guy with his size, he's not a good rebounder. Bosh, I think I could give him the nod over Gasol. He's got a rock solid jumper, he's a great rebounder, and he's a solid defensive player.

Amar'e > Gasol is a joke. I can't even take that seriously. Just because Amar'e is a more flashy player doesn't mean he is better. When it comes to passing, rebounding, footwork, touch, and range Pau has Amar'e beat. Defensively, too. Everyone rags Gasol for his defense because he doesn't get blocks. He did a hell of a job on Kmart/Camby, Boozer, and Duncan last year.
