Don't be surprised if KP waits until the 11th hour to make his move. He's holding aces and can be as patient as he absolutely wants to be. KP has already proven - on many fronts - that he's not been in a big hurry.

    No worries.

So KP is slow-playing his aces, you say, with a flop of A-A-2 and is waiting for some sucker to big bet into him and take it?
    Sounds good to me.

    Never slow play pocket aces.

I'm not sure what that has to do with KP . . . but in texas hold em . . . never slow play pocket aces.

I think the rule in Texas Holdem is "Never say never."

KP won't make a trade before the all-star break.

That's a good rule. Do you slow play pocket aces, in general?

I think the best part is that all the cards are on the table, and everyone knows that we have the best expiring contract in the NBA. Considering that some NBA owners have lost over 500 million dollars in the last few months, we are sitting in a nice spot.

Even when the flop is A-A-2? Sure I'd big bet before the flop, but I'm slowing the brakes down after it.

ludicrous. there are many instances when you should/could slow play aces, such as when you have a short stack and want to induce more calls. or in early position when you have aggressive players behind you. just being rigid in your strategy is a mistake in the first place. you more or less do not want a 10 way pot, with that many people in the hand, the chances are more likely someone will get lucky on you.

that being said, i usually raise AA just like i do any premier hand. USUALLY being the key word.

pocket aces is the best hand period. it may lose after the flop if someone gets lucky, but the odds are always in your favor.

i would say that KP has a full house after the flop with a flush draw on the board.

ALWAYS slow play ANY HAND against my alcoholic "friend" Jimmy! Hes been playing poker for 10 years but you would think its his first time. If you check it means you have nothing according to him. He will then bet $20 into a $2 pot and then you take all his money! He routinely loses over $100 in a $10 buy in a house game with 5 people! Thanks for the ipod Jimmy!

If I'm sure someone will raise behind me, I will. So, I guess it depends on the table. It also depends
on my table image, and how I've bet before. What I don't want to happen is to raise 3x or 4x big blind,
and have 5 people call. I don't play with pros, so sometimes this can happen.
